First off, these things knock harder than the 12's in your trunk and it's clean. After about a year of use the bass amplifier finally let go, and I was kind of bummed. Then I found out they had a lifetime warranty. Dudes sent me a brand new pair, and they were even a newer design! I'm blown away about that, and they say even if you break them and it's your fault you can get a new pair for 50% off. My only complaints are that the cord is a bit short (10') and the newest style doesn't really adjust to a very large degree. I wear a 7 1/4" fitted hat and these things fit just right, if your domes bigger you might wanna try on a pair first.

Overall I am super satisfied with the earphones. I haven’t skied with them and really don’t plan on it (I wear a helmet), but they do seem like they would be a bit to bulky to wear over a beanie. For the price, the sound is awesome, there is a really strong bass and they have a good seal over the ear. The plastic does feel kind of cheap and it is reflected by the fact that the clasp in the center of the head band (that allows the headphones to collapse) wore out kind of quickly. So now the joint has a tendency to come un-hinged. I foresee myself just gluing the joint shut in the near future. In all, for the price I paid (49 bucks) they are awesome, they deliver sound on par with more expensive headphones but they don’t break the bank. I, however, don’t foresee them lasting a lifetime.

i just got these te other day so i dont have any of the wear and tear problems but they are tight and they shake you head. i personally have 4 pairs of skullcandies and these are another ones to add to the collection.
