We drive from Memphis,TN to the Outer Banks in NC every summer for a family vacation. We'd been looking at the hard shell carriers for awhile for the trip, but didn't want to have the hassle of finding storage space for it when not in use. I came across this bag version and we decided to try it. So far, it is GREAT! I have a Nissan Murano and we had no problem attaching it to the car. We did a "test run" and were able to fit a 2' X 3' storage bin, three beach chairs, a stroller and few other small items. (It looks like it would also accommodate our 2 -year old if necessary :) LOL!)It's also extremely quiet at high speeds. It folds up nicely into the storage bag, too. My only concern is cleaning off the bug carnage we are sure to encounter on such a long trip, but I think it will be ok. This site also had THE BEST price -don't even bother buying elsewhere!
