If you are going to plunk a couple hundred into your roof rack, it only makes sense to spend an extra $50 to ensure that rack stays with you. The core locks are easy to install and worth the peace of mind knowing that rack is locked on.

The locks are great, don't get me wrong. I bought 4 to keep my rack from leaving without me. But I only bought 4, which means my bike racks and box and towers all have different keys. DOH! If you're buying locks, it pays to buy a lot.

4 stars because they don't come with the Yakima setup and you have to get them seperately. Otherwise they work great and even have a automatic closing door on the front to prevent dirt and water from getting in and rusting the unit.
