Stairmaster FTMFW

Capita The Stairmaster Snowboard

Capita The Stairmaster Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 April 16, 2008

Let me just come out and say it. I absolutely love this board! Even though it's marketed as a park board, in my opinion, it has the perfect flex pattern for a freestyle, park, and even a bit of all mtn too... As long as you're not expecting the Stairmaster to allow you to Euro-carve your way down the black runs or to float ontop of 6" of fresh pow. In my opinion this is the perfect board to take to the hill on days when it hasn't snowed. I guarantee that the flex pattern will allow you to pull out sketch landings when busting serious airs & is still buttery as hell, without being a wet noodle like the WWW. After riding 1/2 the season on my Lib Dark Series, I find myself only wanting to ride the Stairmaster...Yes, it's that good.

Righteous Bindings

Union Union Airblaster Inverter LMTD Edition Binding

Union Union Airblaster Inverter LMTD Edition Binding

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2008

After having ridden the Airblaster Inverters 3 or 4 times in the last 2 weeks, I can definitely say that they are without a doubt the best pair of bindings I've owned to this point. They are quite simple to adjust. Removing 2 screws allows you to adjust pretty much anything on the board, which is a big plus when tweaking your bindings on the hill.

The only drawback I've found is that the leather straps get scuffed up quite easily...And the straps are so flexible that you must buckle them down when you're getting on the lift, or you risk ripping the leather from stepping on them accidentally.

Due to the mix & match colors that Union uses, the highbacks will definitely get noticed.

Uncomfortable!!!

ThirtyTwo TM-Two Snowboard Boot - Men's

ThirtyTwo TM-Two Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 February 11, 2008

After reading the reviews on the TM-Two's, I figured they'd be the greatest boots ever...Boy was I wrong. Straight out of the box, they were uncomfortable, but after a bit more reading, I figured they'd break in and be great. Here we are...10 riding days on these boots and they still hurt like hell.

These boots are so finiky. Tighten the inner boot too much and my feet hurt. Too loose and I have way too much heel lift. Then there's the strap for the inner boot. It makes the edges of the tongue dig into my calf and after a day of riding...It's almost too painful to walk.

I guess the boots are pretty durable, and they look great. But other than that. I hate em and will be buying something different come next season. For a boot this price to be this uncomfortable is unacceptable.

Awesome!

Lib Technologies Dark Series Magnetraction Snowboard

Lib Technologies Dark Series Magnetraction Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

I've ridden a great number of boards before finally picking up the Dark Series. Anything from a WFO to M3, they all had areas they shined in, but none was an all mountain board...Until the Dark Series. This board does it all. Gives tons of pop off kickers, slays rails and hurls you down the mountain at rocket like speed. The board handles anything you can throw at it and begs for more. The only complaint I've found is that the top sheet scratches & delams very easily. After 5 days of riding, the top sheet is starting to delam. Still 5/5!

Good on paper, poor durability IRL

Flow Team Binding

Flow Team Binding

Rating for this product: 2 December 31, 2007

I honestly loved the 08 Team bindings. The ease of entry/exit was second to none, and I thought they looked great too. The one time I took the board in for wax, all the employees that knew anything about snowboard equipment gathered around and gawked at my shiny new bindings. All was well till eight runs into the second day of riding when one of the upper straps on my back foot broke in three pieces. I would have suspected it was me, but the binding broke on a green catwalk…So it’s not like I was beating on the bindings, or landing 50 foot cliff drops or anything. Once the strap broke, the second day of boarding quickly came to an end. I talked with a couple local board shops and they all said that straps on the Flow Teams seem to break a lot.

08 Flow Team Bindings

Flow Team Binding

Flow Team Binding

Rating for this product: 5 December 27, 2007

The 08 Teams are easily as light as most of the top end bindings on the market (which was their major drawback in the past), and the ease of entry/exit is just the icing on the cake. I've found that even though I'd usually crank down traditional strap-in bindings, the Flows transfer all movement to the board without having to have them cranked down...Which is much more comfortable for my feet.

Even though they are a bit costly, this is probably the last pair of bindings you'll ever need to buy.

***Don't forget to check ALL of the screws before every riding session.***

Dark Series RIPS!

Lib Technologies Dark Series Magnetraction Snowboard

Lib Technologies Dark Series Magnetraction Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2007

Have only ridden this board one time, but it's hands down the absolute best board I've ever ridden. It took a run or two to get used to it, but the Dark Series absolutely rips. Super sick carving & has got tons of pop. Even though the bottom of the runs had iced over by the end of the day, the magne-traction sliced through it like butta.
