Good Fit, Build Quality, Questionable Polarization

Anarchy Status Sunglasses

Anarchy Status Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 4 July 29, 2011

So I bought the Black/Smoke of these primarily because they were one of the least expensive polarized, not-too-flashy, good looking sunglasses on this site at the time.

THE GOOD: The glasses fit perfect. I'd say I have a medium to slightly above averaged sized head. If you have a LARGE head these probably aren't the glasses for you. Style is excellent, arrived just as pictured...no surprises. Build quality seems to be excellent as well. Glasses open, fold, wear, and just feel like a solid quality piece.

THE BAD: all the little white lettering on the inside of the glasses rubbed off literally during my first time wearing them. Not a big deal, I don't need to be reminded I'm wearing "Status" sunglasses. Lastly, and the only real concern of mine...I'm not convinced these lenses are actually polarized. All my previous glasses have been polarized, and these just don't seem to be exhibiting the typical features I'm use to. Glare doesn't appear to be reduced much (or at all when viewing water), and in general the lenses seem to just dim the world outside. My previous polarized lenses significantly reduced glare, and although they tinted the outside world they also seemed to sharpen everything.

I did some looking around online, and it appears Anarchy makes these status glasses in both polarized and "non-polarized" models. Other sites charge significantly more for the polarized model. I'm thinking perhaps these aren't actually polarized, or maybe I was sent a bum version on accident?

Either way, for the money they're still an okay deal...but given the choice I'd pay more to get a pair where the polarization is evident.

Volcom dropped the ball on this one...almost tragic...

Volcom Dapper Stone Suit - Men's

Volcom Dapper Stone Suit - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 March 28, 2011

I bought this suit, because A: I own a ton of volcom gear and like it...and B: I bought a Volcom Stone Suit back in 2009 for the exact same price and it fits, feels, and looks like a fitted suit at least 2 to 3 times it's price.

This Dapper Suit however, is sadly not even half the suit the Stone Suit is from 2009...I say that with great reluctance because I have never been let down by Volcom gear before, but this suit's build quality is simply subpar.

Pros: The slacks are the nicest part of the suit, although a bit thin, and somewhat questionable button/clasp they fit excellent and look great. Fit of the suit is similar to the Stone Suit; which is superb.

Cons: Overall quality of material, and assembly is POOR. The material is noticeably WAY WAY thinner and dinky than the Stone Suit. All the seams seem low quality. The liner is rougher and thinner. The Front Jacket Pockets are FAKE and sewn shut. New there was loose threads. The jacket is lighter, thinner, much more poorly constructed, and over-all just shitty compared to the stone suit jacket. Even the suit bag/cover it comes in is WAY WAY lower quality than the stone suit's. This one is thinner and the zipper literally broke off the second time I went to zip it up. Upon trying to fix it the entire zipper fabric began to unravel at the seems. Whole thing pretty much fell apart right away.

Style: I like the slacks...the Jacket however I have a few problems with. First off there's a freaking gold chain sewn into the back instead of a fabric loop to hang it on....I dislike this...it screams "I sell used cars, and want to date your daughter". Second issue is they literally sewed VOLCOM in big black letters above the fake front pocket. Now, I don't mind the small volcom symbol on the pant leg, but the GIANT LETTERS on the jacket itself is rather unprofessional looking... after-all this is a "suit" not a t-shirt...logo's need to be restrained if featured AT ALL on the outside of a suit.

Conclusion: I would STRONGLY suggest to not buy this suit. I would pay double for a Volcom Stone Suit before paying to get this Dapper suit. This suit fits me like a glove (6 foot 3, 190lbs, Large fits perfect) and it's about to be the first volcom product I return to Dogfunk for a refund due to it being shitty.

Clean, basic, nice cut.

Volcom Killer Stripe Slim Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Volcom Killer Stripe Slim Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 11, 2010

Shirt has a good quality feel to it. Not too thin, not too heavy. I'm 6'3-6'4, 185 lbs, and the XL fits me very well. Sleeve length is decent. Definitely a slim fit, but not tight...it's a loose slim fit; meaning its properly baggy like you'd a expect a sweatshirt to be.

Good quality long sleeve shirt. Not slim fit, so a bit baggy on me.

The perfect cut...

Volcom Regulate Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Volcom Regulate Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 11, 2010

This shirt literally has the best slim fit cut I've seen yet. I'm 6'3-6'4 and 185lbs...and it's nearly impossible for me to find shirts with long enough sleeves that don't have an extra yard of material to cover someone else's beer-belly. This shirt does it perfectly. Sleeve length is awesome, and the slim fit cut is very similar to a euro cut in nice dress shirts. A Large fits me like a glove. The shirt feels tailored. If you're tall and skinny this is the shirt for you.

Quality is top-notch. Weight of shirt is pretty decent, feels extremely durable, and actually keeps you warm if you want it to.

The ONLY negative I can say (and it's not really a negative) is the shirt has these little shoulder straps...basically a 3.5in strip of cloth buttoned down on top of each shoulder. I DID NOT see these in the picture when I ordered, but they're there. Just a different style than I'm use to, but I dig them now.

This vest turns your suit up to 11.

Volcom Stone Suit Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 26, 2010

I ordered this vest to compliment the pinstripe Volcom suit that it matches. Best decision ever. I ordered the same size as the suit (Large) and it fit perfectly. I'm 6'3 180lbs, and the suit/vest combo felt custom tailored. Check out the suit review for more detailed info.

If you already have the suit...or it's chilling in the shopping cart, you're going to want this...Do it...Do it...

Professionally Legit.

Volcom Stone Suit - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 26, 2010

This suit is freaking sick; period. I ordered the pin-striped version to wear to interviews, New Years, and a wedding. It kills at doing all of those things. I am 6'3 tall, and 180lbs and the Large fits me perfectly. In jeans I usually wear a 33-34in waist, w/at least a 34in inseam (if that helps you gauge your size). People actually thought the suit was custom tailored. So if you're built like an adventurous crack-head, such as myself, the cut of this suit is awesome. I also purchased the vest; I highly recommend this it completes the look. The ONLY negative thing I can say, is the suit jacket feels a bit tight in the back if I'm stretching for something. But that's a small price to pay for sleeves the perfect length and a suit that you don't swim in.

This thing is extremely high-quality, and literally probably the best-bang for the buck clothing item I've bought in the last decade. My roommates thought I was crazy for ordering a suit from "Volcom"...after seeing/wearing it...I'd be crazy not to order it.

Freakin' Rad - But I'd go Bigger

Forum Stomper Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Forum Stomper Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 25, 2009

This sweatshirt is pretty freakin' sweet. Gets looks, is heavy enough to keep you warm, and has a ton of crap to distract you when you're bored. But beware of two things. 1st: there's a little picture of a dude that looks a LOT like Hitler, in like 4 or 5 different spots on the shirt. 2nd: I ordered an XL and it fit perfect when it came. After a few washes and drys it's now a bit too small. I'm 6'3 and 180lbs and I wish I would have tried to get an XXL.
