Bio:
A mysterious creature, the Stashquatch can only be seen in brief glimpses making strange noises in the snowy forest (or when you open a bag of peanut butter M&M's).

Burton Grail Snowboard Boot - Men's
December 14, 2011
I downsize a full size from my shoe to my boot size, but I'm a bit of a sadist. You may want to try going half a size down. Fit should be pretty snug at first...when boots are new, you want your toes touching the front when standing straight up. Otherwise they'll pack out and fit sloppily. Toe box on these is pretty neutral, although definitely wider than, say, an Ion.

Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard - Wide
November 28, 2011
Burton Customs will work fine, just make sure the binding hardware isn't bottoming out in the board's inserts and dimpling your base. I think Burton bindings may have thinner baseplates or something...I had to go with shorter 14mm screws to put my Missions on this board, down from the 16mm screws that came with my bindings. But the 390s would be a great match for this, too.

Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard - Wide
November 28, 2011
If you're used to riding rocker boards on big kickers, you'll be fine. The 2012 version is less noodley than the previous Artifacts have a reputation for being, in my opinion. It still feels a bit washy on landings when compared to camber boards, but look at Johnny Lazz's part in The Shred Remainshe's boosting some massive jumps on this thing.

Gold Coast Dead Longboard
June 2, 2011
It's a little small for freeride-type sliding at high speeds, but if you just wanna dork off with some Colemans/Berts, etc. you'll be fine. You might shred the wheels pretty fast, though.

Arbor Fish Bamboo Longboard
May 26, 2011
If you're gonna be hitting any bigger hills on a regular basis, you might want something with a little bit longer wheelbase. But for cruising flats, carving, and the occasional mellow downhill, this thing is perfect.

Banshee Bungee Urban Assault Bungee - 10 Foot Package

I'd only attach it to whatever you're hitting as a last option. It's doable but definitely not ideal.

Burton Hate Restricted Snowboard
August 13, 2010
You have a lot of options. All Burton's regular (non-EST) bindings will work, and many other companies also have discs that are compatible with the 3D mounting pattern (2 long slots on the disc is a good sign that it will work). I'd double-check with the binding manufacturer if you aren't sure.

DC PBJ LTD Snowboard
February 23, 2010
It's a fun board to ride, but unless you're a rail junky i'd go for something a bit stiffer. I like soft boards too, but this thing is a noodle...I practically did a somersault the first time I tried a nosepress on it. If you like big kickers and riding fast I'd get something else.

Burton Ion Snowboard Boot - Men's - 09/10
February 22, 2010
You may consider this a biased opinion, but I say yes. They aren't cheap, but after switching from these to some less-expensive Burton boots I realized just how badass they were. Super lightweight, comfortable, and great support. If it means anything, I'm going back to the Ions again next season.

Burton Custom X Snowboard - 09/10
December 16, 2009
I'd go with the 158. It will be a great all-around size and with as stiff as the Custom X rides, you will not have any problems with edge hold.

Burton Ion Snowboard Boot - Men's - 09/10
December 15, 2009
The Ions have a much, much higher-end liner and a slightly lower-profile last than the Motos, so they should pack out a lot less and fit more snug to begin with. I'd go for the 8.

Burton P1.1 Snowboard Binding - 08/09
December 15, 2009
Sorry, but that's totally incorrect. Burton bindings ALWAYS come with either a universal disc that works for 3D and 4x4 mounting patterns, or 2 sets of discs. You definitely won't need to buy a separate disc. These will mount fine to any snowboard made in the past decade with the included parts.

Stepchild Snowboards Jib Stick Snowboard
December 14, 2009
It will be close with a 256 waist and a size 13 boot. If you ride a wide, ducked out stance you could probably get away with it, but you will probably get some drag when really laying into a turn on a steep slope. However, if you're gonna be riding mostly in the park you will be fine.

Stepchild Snowboards Jib Stick Snowboard
December 14, 2009
I'd say you would want a waist width of at least 250 mm. This board is semi-mid-wide, and if you're mostly riding park (like you would on this thing) you're probably not doing a ton of mega-deep carves anyway, so you should be totally fine with a size 11 on the Jib Stick.

DC PBJ Pro Biittner Snowboard
December 14, 2009
What's up Coop... Biitner's board is probably right up your alley. It does best in the park and on the streets but just set the stance back a bit on your trips to bigger mountains and you'll rip it up like whoa. If you're primarily a park rider you'll be stoked.

Gnu Park Pickle BTX Snowboard
December 11, 2009
Yo Zach, weight is more important than height in determining the correct snowboard size. Unless you're ridiculously skinny, at your height I'd think you would be happier hitting jumps on a little bit bigger board - more effective edge means more stability and less washing out on landings.

Smith Chemist Sun Sunglasses

what's dope about these is that the arms have 2-way hinges on them, so they fit a whole bunch of different face types. I have a pretty big Neanderthal-style head, and they fit me fine because the arms can flex out a little bit without being uncomfortable, but one of my skinny-ass co-workers has a pair too, and he's just as stoked.
