I'm a pow junkie for sure. Love deep snow riding so I spend a lot of time at Wolf Creek. Park is a must for me too, but backcountry is where my heart is. I ride a lot of Burton now that I have tested alot of there gear and have had to deal with alot of warranty issues.(Burton is unmatched for sure.)I also like Ride, Forum, Nitro,DC,Never Summer, and Stepchild to name a few. I sold alot of my old gear last year to buy new gear. My old Forum board was tight and I really wanted a board I new would compete with it so I bought a 2010 Burton Custom 162 wide and could not be happier. Paired up with the 2011 est cartels it weights alot less than my old set up. Floats like a mofo in the deep, and kills the jumps and rails. My most hated brand is Lib Tech, I always hear that Burton is overpriced but I paid alot more for my Lib Tech and it did not hold up at all. The edges where so weak they started peeling off the board in just a few months, and it wasn't even my jib board so in my book they suck. I did like the way it rode but I would get a Never Summer board over one any day. I would say that Ride and Dc are my favorite boots for sure. I have to buy a new pair every year so I don't like to over pay when I buy them. Both of these brands are awesome and fairly priced. See you guys on the mountains.

Burton website is the closest to what they truly look like but still does no justice. These boots are awesome, the leather that there made of is EXTREMELY NICE! Not sure what kind it is but its pimp(might be nubuck). These boots are good all around from peak to park. More of a park boot though, they are pretty soft but hold up well when hauling ass. I'm glad I bought them but I still like my dc boots better.

Awesome binding!

Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding

Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding

Well I was able to go to Wolf Creek Colorado for a week in march on a '10 Burton Custom with the ICS system and I could not of been happier with my set up. I sold alot of my old gear and bought new boots, board and bindings. I had read a few reviews saying that it took some time getting used to the feeling of the ICS system but it didn't seem to be a prob for me at all. It's not that much of a switch, any real boarder out there shouldn't either. These bindings feel amazing, best i'v ever rode for sure. The main thing I noticed with this set up is how light it is. My Burton Twin thats 2 cin. shorter with C60 bindings wieghts alot more. It was perfect for Wolf Creek, there is alot of hiking you have to do there. It dumped the whole time I was there so I got in four good epic pow days and having a lighter board really paid off. Thanks Dogfunk!

Best Cartels yet.

Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding

Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 3, 2011

Everything bad i had heard about the new Cartel bindings was BS! These things are solid, I had read some reviews about the new highback being cheap feeling and felt they would break easy. They look and feel alot stronger than my older pair (09) cartels. I almost bought the Malavta est bindings, even had them reserved. But as I took a closer look at the Cartels I noticed they have changed. Where the anklestrap screws on the baseplate there used to be a ugly srip of plastic that feels glued on that has started to peel away on my old pair. If you look at the Malavita's, they still have it. The Cartels are now just one solid baseplate. I won't ride anything else but Burton from now on, there warranty is unmatched for sure.

Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding

Wrong, if you look at the ankel strap on the restricted cartel's they are kinda like the malivita(think I spelled that right), straps. They are wider in the ends for easy presses and butters.
