  • Bio:

i started skiing when i was about 5 years old, back in 1984. i gave the skis up to start riding in 1996 on a burton custom freestyle joint, back when there was no such thing as men's/women's boards. it was simply a snowboard.
i've turned that board into a shelf, mounted on my living room wall, storing art books now.

on december 23rd, my riding season was cut short. at hunter mtn, ny (of all places), i didn't quite land a jump and somehow managed my way down the mountain.
after much deliberation and excruciating pain, i went to the hospital the following afternoon.
i spent xmas eve in the Emergency Room with a broken talus and avulsion. now, 16-1/2 weeks later, i'm just starting to run again.

and counting down to next season!!

in the off season, i'm a professional scuba diver.

    holla.

DC Bennett Short - Women's

DC Bennett Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 5, 2010

i hadn't worn denim shorts in ages, but i am super happy with these.
the dark shade of blue is really nice, and can be dressed up or down for the beach or a club.
the pockets are great and so is the fit.
if you have an ass like i have an ass, your normal size will work just fine.

Matix Setting Sail Short - Women's

Matix Setting Sail Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 5, 2010

i got the black shorts one size bigger so that they wouldn't ride up my ass, but i think that if i got my normal size, they would've been good.
they're soft and super comfy.
the only qualm i have is that the front pockets are super shallow, so you can't really put anything in them.

DC Chalet Slim Apres Boot - Women's

DC Chalet Slim Apres Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 18, 2010

i get tons of compliments on the boots; most people are surprised to see that they are DC boots. i've worn them in the NYC snow and mess, and my feet are dry. they're not as warm as other are, but it's nothing a good pair of socks won't fix.

they were also a bit stiff and tight at first, but after breaking them in with a few days of wear, they're quite comfortable.

Burton Feather Snowboard - Women's

Burton Feather Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

i have last year's model in a 144 which is my third board. it rides really smoothly and really is light. my last board was a K2 luna 138 and this weighs just the same, using the same bindings. it made switching to a longer board a lot easier. before i knew it, i was flying past all the guys i ride with. they were as impressed with the board as i was!
