Forum Contract Snowboard

April 28, 2011

I'm about your size 5'11" 145 lbs, and I got the 150 in the Rat and Contract and they both rip harder than anything else I've ridden. I pretty much only ride parks while on the hill.

Grenade Easy Access Mitten

February 9, 2010

I only ride grenade and I live in WI, I have a bunch of their gloves/mitts and none of them are really that thick, but my hands are never cold. I put these on in a shop and they should do well.

Grenade TMNT Glove

January 9, 2010

I ONLY ride grenade gloves/mittens.... over the last two seasons i've ridden the manifesto mitten from 2 years ago (the ones that came with the pipe glove liner)... and i've been riding them without the liner throughout the WI winters we endure here without any problems as to my hands being cold, you might just have bad circulation. Even with holes in my mittens and my crustaceous glove/mitten my hands are always warm.

Nitro Swindle Snowboard

May 29, 2009

It's soft for Nitro standards, but if you want soft soft, get an artifact 1985, www rocker, forum manual, ride crush or DH, or technine jib. The board is durable though, i will give it that. Whatever you do DON'T BUY BURTON, FOR ANYTHING, EVER.... except maybe the 420 kit

Great Binding

Forum Faction Snowboard Binding - Men's

Forum Faction Snowboard Binding - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 29, 2009

The problem with snowboarding now days is there are a million people online buying crap getting bad information from reviews (not this product in particular) and then hating their product because they didnt do the proper research. I've had these bindings for 2 years (the neon ones from 08/09) and the ONLY problem i have had is ratchets stripping, but i am hard on them, and my friend that is sponsored by Forum said that problem is now fixed. These ride nothing like Cartels, for one: they don't suck, two they have an aluminum heelcup that wraps under the toe area giving you more power from a soft binding, they are very adjustable (try adjusting the toe cap BuckeL). I hope this helps people get the right information, yes this is a soft binding, but if you are ACTUALLY researching this product before you buy it you should know that. One more point, a very helpful way of researching, and getting REAL information is from your LOCAL SHOP, buy it there because if you don't like it, I'm sure they will be more receptive to helping you.

Ride Kink Snowboard

Ride Kink Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 May 29, 2009

The kink is sick for a jib deck! DON'T BUY IT IF YOU WANT A TON OF POP (PK Thunder) IT IS A RAIL BOARD IT ISN'T MADE FOR A TON OF POP JUST LIKE ANY OTHER JIB STICK! Idk how people can't flex this board, then again I've seen people trying to press out the Signal Park Rocker and didn't get it off the box somehow. I have a Ride Crush, and the bases that ride puts out are damn hard to get through, more than happy, and i've ridden the kink as well, and it is sick!

As for the reviews knocking the slimewalls, those kids must just not get it! Yes they are softer, but guess what ABS will give way just as easy and it shatters! So the advantage of slimewalls is that you can bang that shit back out and not have your board be all crappy, SLIMEWALLS IS AN ADVANCEMENT IN SNOWBOARDING TECHNOLOGY

Technine Mass Appeal Snowboard

Technine Mass Appeal Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 May 29, 2009

Doesn't know what he's talking about. "Hit a few ice chunks" means beat the hell out of it, and he probably got a core shot from catching a burr on a rail in the park.... it happens.... Technine boards are sick! I'm planning on getting one next season, and everyone i have ridden, or any one of my friends that has one loves it... don't listen to dje2589667, he probably doesnt take care of his decks and no board will survive that crap.

Rome Artifact 1985 Snowboard

May 29, 2009

Not true Cyrus Baumgarten.... it depends on the manufacturer. For instance I'm riding the Ride Crush, and it is probably stiffer than the DH if it was a cambered board, but since it is RC, it flexes right, and has crazy amounts of pop. From what I've heard the Artifact 1985, as well as the Crush, have carbon in the tip and tail in some form or the other (idk what form Rome has, but Ride uses the crossing stringers). One thing you will lose is edge hold vs. a cambered board, unless you get into the Never Summer EVO with the combination RC and regular camber. Just make sure you read up on the board you are looking to buy, I've had Rome and loved it, and I love my Ride, Forum and Technine are coming out with their own Reverse Camber designs for the 09/10 season so keep an eye out for those because they are probably dank as hell, I would recommend staying away from the Signal Park Rocker though, that thing is just goofy (way too much RC, to the point that the board doesn't flatten out when you stand on it).
