Good Goggle

Electric EG1 Chrome Goggle - Chrome

Rating for this product: 4 February 11, 2008

The EG1 Chrome Bandana White Electric google is pretty sweet. Its good looking and comfy. Compared to my old scratched up lenses I was amazed by my new vivid line of sight when I first put these badboys on; they tint everything to block out the sun but don't really affect the color, leaving you with a real nice view of all the intricacies of the slope. There are two slight negatives which kept me from giving them a 5: The goggles have relatively small straps. For me to use mine on my helmet it has to be as absolutely loose as possible-- don't get me wrong, that setting feels just about right for me with the helmet on and all but it would be nice to have the freedom to make it even a bit looser if I felt like it. Why not add another cm to the strap length Electric? My head's not even that big... The second negative that I didn't forsee is almost certainly caused by the chrome lense surface (my first time using them). Often, in some angles of light more than others, you can see the reflection of your eyes and/or goggle frames. This doesn't really preclude your view too badly but its slightly annoying to have to stare down your eyeball for long periods of time. Couldn't they have sorted this issue out somehow? In sum, a great goggle for looking good, feeling comfy and generally good visibility.
