The Thule Lock Cylinders are a great theft deterrant, and as the other reviewer mentioned, why not get a few extra so if you get a new mount you can still use one key for it all.

This is a great ski and snowboard rack. Skis and boards are held securely, and because it's Thule you know it's well made and durable. It's nice that locks are included as they are a good theft deterrant.

Thule has set the standard for roof racks. The racks are really stable and accessories attach securely to these squared load bars. A Thule roof rack system provides you with many rack options, and will last forever!

I know Skullcandy is all the rage, but I'm not all that impressed by the Smokin' Bud Headphones. The sound quality seems good enough, and it's sometimes nice to have in-line volume control, but these really just don't seem to fit my ears. Even the smallest ear pieces were too big, and these didn't want to stay in. (They were too big to be inserted correctly.) Also, they seem to cut out too much other sound. Perhaps that's nice if you're commuting on a crowded subway train or something, but I know I wouldn't feel safe skiing or riding with these even at very low volume.

These are some high quality goggles as you'd expect out of Oakley. The Stockholm is a cute frame for the ladies. While it's technically helmet compatible, in my personal opinion they look funny worn with a helmet. The notch in the top of the frame creates a weird gap. If you're a woman (or a man) with a smaller face and wear a helmet, I suggest the A Frame instead.

I upgraded my old Ortovox F1 avalanche Beacon with the Mammut Pulse Barryvox and wow am I faster! While it takes longer for this digital beacon to pick up the signal initially, with arrows pointing the way to the closest beacon first, you rapidly get to the fine search phase, where a digital distance readout again cuts down on time. Where these new digital beacons really shine are in multiple burial situations. The beacon will show you how many signals it is picking up, and filter out others signals, bringing you directly to the closest one first. You can override which beacon it brings you to, and mark a beacon to move on to the next. The Pulse beacons are also capable of sensing very small movements, such as whether a buried victim is breathing or has a beating heart. This information is transmitted so someone searching with a Pulse can see that the victim's heart is still beating.

My sister asked for this for Christmas, and so far she seems pleased with it. It's a good looking, functional shell. The sizing seems true to ever so slightly big.
