I love snowboarding and surfboarding. I grew up skiing/snowboarding at Iron Mountain, Kirkwood, and Sierra-at-Tahoe. I lived in Breckenridge for two seasons but, ever since I have been surfing I have a hard time being away from the ocean. CA is a great spot to be for both. I ride a Lib Tech Waterboard (6'0" Vert Series) and its killer! I helped create NowSnowboarding.com with my friends Mark Hoyt and Ian Smith. I am aspire to shred waves and snow all over the planet!

Good Shellmet

Red Trace Helmet

Red Trace Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

This helmet has a good fit; it is a deeper fit than the Smith helmets I tried. I wear this as a shellmet (over my beanie and goggles) I recommend this helmet for anyone who rocks the shellmet style because, it does not sit too high up on your head. Don't be too cool for a helmet, concussions are no good.

Good goggles

Smith I/O Interchangeable Goggle

Smith I/O Interchangeable Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

I have two pairs of these. It is really easy to change the lenses out. I rarely fog up and, if it does it goes away once I start riding again. The lens quality is very high and, it comes with two! I have a bigger nose and the fit is very comfortable. Get a pair!

DAKINE Simpo Pro Traction Pad

DAKINE Simpo Pro Traction Pad

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

I went through every traction pad at my local shop and this was my favorite. It has the perfect amount of arch support in the middle. The steep tail kick is rad. Put this on my Lib Tech Waterboard. I recommend this product. Buy it here!

Backcountry Access Tracker 2 Avalanche Beacon

Backcountry Access Tracker 2 Avalanche Beacon

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

Luckily I have only used this in practice. This is very user friendly. This is my first beacon so I don't have experience with anything others; after my research I chose this and, so far I am happy with it.

Homeschool Revolve Snowboard Pant - Men's

Homeschool Revolve Snowboard Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

Really comfortable pants. I am a 32 and the L fits well (I like my pants a little bit bigger so I can wear impact shorts under them.) A 32 could fit in a M or L no problem. I would like outer thigh vents to compliment the inner thigh vents; but, the breathability of the fabric is unbeatable and, I have not had any over heating issues. Does not have a pant to zipper interface; it does clip together though and it has a good powder skirt. Buy this brand, buy this product Not as shiny in person, which I was happy about.

Great shell

Homeschool Naked Raygun Shell - Men's

Homeschool Naked Raygun Shell - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

This material is amazing! Best breathability I have had in a jacket. I don't over heat when I am hiking or charging hard. The pit vents don't have any mesh but they are effective. I am 6'1 180ish and the XL is a good fit for me (I like my jacket a little baggy) If you are around my size and want a "fitted" look go with the L. I can wear all my under layers and a demon snow protective vest with the XL no problem. Wrist gators would be nice but you can seal the wrists with the velcro system pretty well. This has become my new rain jacket it is so waterproof. Shells are the way to go and this one is the jam! Just make sure you have some good first layers for cold days. I highly recommend this brand and this jacket!

Fun Fun Fun

Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

This is the most fun and playful snowboard I have been on. Loved it for small to medium size park features. Really fun for cruising all mountain and, great float in pow! A little bit thin at the waist for my 11.5 boots, minor toe drag was occasionally an issue. If you have big feet try the wide model. 5 of 10 is accurate for the flex. If you want to start riding park, or want a park board to take it to the next level buy a skate banana!

WOW

Lib Technologies Dark Series C2BTX Snowboard - Wide

Lib Technologies Dark Series C2BTX Snowboard - Wide

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

This board totally rips! I rode the 158 at Buttermilk (in Aspen) last year and loved it! Great width for larger feet, I have 11.5's and prefer waist widths from 260 - 263 mm; no toe drag! I could lay into fast and deep euro carves with complete confidence even though it was icy. The aggressive side cut was perfect and Magna Traction is a must have! This has been the board of choice of pro rider Mark Hoyt for the last few years; and this is the only board he has not broken. This is a great choice for anyone charging hard. Buy this board!

The best

XCEL Hawaii 4/3mm Drylock Wetsuit - Men's

XCEL Hawaii 4/3mm Drylock Wetsuit - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

This is the best suit I have worn. I am 6'1" 180ish and wear a MT. This is the best fitting suit period. This suit rarely flushes and will keep you toasty. Surfed in it all of last winter (in Nor Cal) with no hood or booties. Buy this suit and buy it here!

Good for the price

Hurley Fusion 403 Chest Zip Wetsuit - Men's

Hurley Fusion 403 Chest Zip Wetsuit - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 18, 2012

I am 6'1" 180ish and I have this suit in a MT. One of the better MT wetsuit fits I have worn, actually, only the Xcel fit was a little better. I surf in Nor Cal where the water temp ranges from upper 40's to lower 60's; though the temp is usually mid 50's. I don't use a hood or booties and, this suit keeps me warm. The only issue I have had is that this suit sometimes flushes. The seals at the: neck, wrists, and feet are not the best but, satisfactory. This is one of the best looking suits out there for sure. I would give the suit a 6.8 out of 10 but, for the price I am very happy. I recommend this suit for anyone who wants a solid suit and a great price!

Great board

Gnu Danny Kass C2-BTX Snowboard

Gnu Danny Kass C2-BTX Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2012

One of the best snowboards I have been on. This is currently my one board quiver. The sidecut allows this board to carve really well. The flex is stiff enough for jumps and still playful on jibs. The waist width is perfect for my 11.5 boots.
