Pow Gloves Sonic Glove - Men's

Pow Gloves Sonic Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 June 6, 2009

So first off, these gloves aren't the warmest, so be smart about when you use em.
They're dry, period, unless you got a bad batch or your hands are always in the snow, where they shouldn't be, you shouldn't have a problem;
if you're just learning, i recommend against these cause they don't hold up to much abuse, especially not dragging.
they're small enough to mess with ear buds and change songs on your iPod too (just lick the finger so it gets warm enough for the sensor), i'm a big fan of being able to use my hands, and not drop my gloves every time i've gotta make an adjustment or strap back in.

Also, *important* when putting them on, NEVER pull on the velcro tab, it will rip pretty easily, pull on the glove itself and they'll last a while

Burton Ronin Cargo Pant - Men's

Burton Ronin Cargo Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 6, 2009

Perfect for days that aren't freezing, the length is great, it covers my boots and then some (i'm only 5'5" though) the cargo pockets'll easily fit a pair of gloves, or a 16 oz. flask no problem to keep you warm on those colder days. They've got linkzip jacket to pant interface; and the stash pocket's a little small to do much with, but the other six huge pockets make that okay. The snaps in the bottoms of the pants keep you from shredding them in the parking lot or during an urban session.
the only way water's getting into these baby's is through your vents, these pants'll treat you well.

I recommend using Nikwax Tech Wash and TX Direct; Burton gear's awesome, keep it that way

DAKINE Split Convertible Rolling Gear Bag - 6425cu in.

DAKINE Split Convertible Rolling Gear Bag - 6425cu in.

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

i got this bag from dogfunk last year, it made it from japan to san diego and back twice, i wheeled it nearly a mile in downtown SD, and its helping me move into my new place right now; it should fit everything you're trying to move (don't know why you'd be moving anything bigger). awesome thing about it splitting like that, you can live out of it like a small foot locker instead of having to un-pack all your stuff if you're moving around alot. i've heard about some dakine stuff not having the quality it should, but that hasn't been the case for my bag. the outside pockets are kinda small and not really too usefull, but i guess they're a plus if you ever use them; at least it doesn't take any functionality out of the bag; thanks to it's size i'd say it's the most useful for long trips, yeah, i recommend it

Spy Soldier Goggle

Spy Soldier Goggle

Rating for this product: 3 January 12, 2009

i'm not really sure why these goggles are rated so high, they actually looked kind of cheap (sloppy plastic molding). i loaned mine to a buddy, third run of the day, he landed on his face and they just broke, the only thing holding the hinges to the frame is a weak piece of plastic; I also have a pair of Spy Targa II's and they're alot nicer, the periferal vision's a little better and they seem to be built better;

Spy Targa II Goggle

Spy Targa II Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 January 12, 2009

these goggles aren't half bad, they look good, hold up to my abuse, and best of all, i've never seen fog on the lenses;
they seem to be built okay for being just plastic, the rubber behind the strap is nice, and they're all kinds of flexible, if you can get a good deal on them i'd say jump on it

ThirtyTwo STW Boa Snowboard Boot - Men's

ThirtyTwo STW Boa Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

i love these boots, the sizing charts were dead on; these boots are the most comfortable ones i've ever worn; they loosen up a little after my first run just cause my feet haven't settled into them yet, so i tighten them and then never have to touch them for the rest of the day, they get great traction and keep my feet toasty (coupled with burton socks) i never got them heat molded and they molded nicely to my feet after just a few days riding; my only regret is that i didn't shell out more money and go for some higher end thirtytwo boots, if these ones are this nice, i can't imagine how nice their higher end boots are.
Only downside, they've got a pretty good size footprint, but they still fit into bindings
(8.5's fit great in medium cartels)

(Update, i got a little too drunk on a trip and lost one boot in Nagano, so i've got my sights set on the Circuit Boa now)

Volcom Timeless Sherpa Basic Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Volcom Timeless Sherpa Basic Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

this is definitely the warmest hoodie i've ever had; i didn't pay attention when i bought this and got a medium even though volcom makes things kinda' big; i'm kicking myself for it, but whatever, i'll just buy another one in small.
cons: it doesn't block wind (did you expect a hoodie to?) and it only has the two hand pockets.
if you're looking for a warm hoodie, buy it, trust me

Volcom Wasabi Mod Board Short - Men's

Volcom Wasabi Mod Board Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

these shorts are nice and long, which is great if you're not a big fan of showing off your legs; and as an added bonus you wont be showing everyone your junk if you happen to get too drunk to notice what you're doing;
they're built pretty tough too, i've climbed 3 palm trees with em, and i got stranded on a bouy half way between managaha island and saipan at 8 at night;
they'll take whatever you can throw at em

Burton Ronin Flank Jacket - Men's

Burton Ronin Flank Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 23, 2008

Without even mentioning the mountain, it definitely stands up to japan's bad weather, constant rain, and downright nasty wind. when you zip up all the way the micro fleece's soft and warm on your face; i hate to say it, but dogfunk's wrong on a couple things, this IS zip in compatable with other burton pants, and as for pockets, 2 hand, 3 cargo, 2 chest, 1 pass, and 3 internal including a media pocket that you can access from the inside or out.
i'm short so the extra length doesn't do much for me in the arms, unless i close up the wrists a bit i feel like a little kid, but the length everywhere else just helps it look badass, i get complements everywhere with this jacket,
my only complaint (and i mean only), no insulation, but the site says that, i didn't expect insulation, and i just fix that with a good base layer.
now on the mountain... wow;
it survived my painful learning phase without a scratch, and continues to beat down the elements.

I recommend Nikwax Tech Wash and TX Direct to keep it goin' strong as long as it's in one piece
