I bought these in black fader also but I love them. Depending on the lighting, it either looks black or purple. In sunlight it looks purple but inside the lodge and in shade it looks black. The purple is a darker subtle purple. I wear jean sizes of 29x30 and XS fits me perfectly. The waist feels like it can even fit a person with 30 waist. the length is perfect for when i'm wearing my snowboard boots but while walking around in my sneakers, they drag a little bit.

Billabong Wolle Jacket - Men's

I must admit, this jacket kicks ass. The colors of the black/white is subtle from a distance but upclose it screams for attention. It I'm 5ft6inch, 140 lb. I bought this in a small and it's a good fit where it's not too snug and not too baggy.

A few comments about the pockets. The hand pockets are small where I have to struggle to put my hands in. Also, the front chest pocket is very awkward. If you check out the pictures closely you can see there is only 1 button, and that is the only half of the pocket that can be lifted. Once you lift it, the zipper is right below it but even when fully unzipped, I can only fit about 3 fingers in it. Something the pictures don't show is the inside pocket. I really like the design as the zipper to the pocket is external to the main jacket zipper. This means that you can access the inside pocket by undoing the velcro without unzipping your jacket. Very neat design.

Pockets and zippers aside, I highly recommend this jacket for the subtle yet loud look.
