I like to go big but not too big. I like to charge fresh powder lines in snow so deep you need a snorkel. I like to power through the trees and shred the groomers. I pop off rollers and pop onto rails. I like pina coladas and hiking the park in the rain.

Lib Technologies Skate Banana Original BTX Snowboard

October 22, 2009

I've been riding for about 6 years and I've decided to go with the whole rocker thing. I'm not sure if the sizing changes or not, but I've heard you can ride a rocker shorter. I've got a capita 156 for street stuff (just sold my 159 burton dominant), but was thinking of going for a skate banana 156 wide or 159 wide for the actual mountain. I'm 6 foot 200lbs and have a size 12 boot. Which size?

Burton Dominant Snowboard

Burton Dominant Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2009

I love this board! I have only had it for a little over a week, but have gotten to ride a ton of different conditions with it. First off this board kills it in the park. Rails, boxes, plastic drainage pipes, this board is sick on any type of rail. It is maneuverable and felxy to do nose and tail presses with ease. It does great on jumps too. The directional flex provides good pop of the lip of any jump or roller. I didn't venture into the larger park at my mountain, but on 15-20 foot kickers (and under) this board stomps it. With its feel I'm sure it will be fine on bigger jumps as well. Thought this is a park board do not let the description fool you. This rides the mountain great. In the slush it was sort of hard to control, but today in the hard packed snow and ice... holy crap. This board can hold an edge just as well as any all mountain board I've ridden in 8 years of riding. It is smooth and grippy on groomers and rides every bit as well as my old all mountain board (burton bmc). It wasn't bad in the slush considering most boards aren't great in that, but it is much better on packed powder and even on ice. I have yet to ride powder with it, but my area is forecast for 12" plus tomorrow! Oh, fun fact... with the griptape topsheet you don't need an ugly stomp pad!

Overall I love this board. It looks sick, rides the mountain and park sick, and is just a great board. I have size 12 feet and on the 159 my toes hang off the board a little, but I still get no toe drag. If you're looking for a great board for cheap that will rip the park and shred the mountain then pick up a dominant. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Really Great

Burton Freestyle Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton Freestyle Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 19, 2009

These are great boots! I got the white and they look sick , especially against my brown Burton pants. They flex like crazy too. They almost feel like sneakers! Unlike boots I have had in the past I can tie them as tight as they can lace and get no pain or fatigue in my calfs... none at all. I used them for the first time today and the only pain was the sore feet from getting them broken in. They are really warm too. I wore regular cotton socks with these boots in 15 degrees and my feet were toasty warm. I rode a few rails and boxes and a run through the pipe and a lot of all mountain and pops off rollers and these boots were comfortable and flexy and just overall great. I really love these and would buy them again, especially because they are so cheap. Paired up with a soft binding (like my freestyle's) these boots give a great park and all mountain feel. They rock in the park, but kick a** on the groomers too. If you want a comfortable, warm, and soft flexing boot, pick these up. Sorry for the random skipping around.

Cool

DAKINE Triangle Scraper

DAKINE Triangle Scraper

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2009

This scraper works, which is good. It scrapes the wax off well and stays sharp for a decent amount of time. I like the notch in the corner to scrape wax off my edges. This is a good scraper if you need one.

Good, I think.

Burton Entourage Jacket - Men's

Burton Entourage Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2009

I never really used this jacket. It seemed to be good quality and warm, but I sent it back because of the pattern. I got the black castlerock, and on me anyway it looked like a coat a 90 year old woman would wear. If I put on a wig and glasses you would think I was an old woman. The little diamond things in the pattern are a lot bigger in person than in the picture. I think the coat looks bad. But, 4 stars because in wearing it around my house I like the quality.

Very Nice

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

I really like these goggles. They look sick and are really comfortable. They do fog, but not unless you're really sweating a ton (like sometimes in the spring). The lens color is good (I think I got the prissimon something). They fit real good with the RED HI FI helmet... no gap between the helmet and the goggles. Anyway, overall, comfortable, sexy, great for the price. Get em!

Impressive

Red Hi-Fi Helmet

Red Hi-Fi Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2007

This is an awesome helmet. It comes in a variety of colors, and is very light. You feel like there is nothing on your head. However, this helmet still provides plenty of protection. You can also upgrade the ear pieces to the ones with speakers in them. If you are buying goggles too, the oakley A-frame goggle really is a good fit. I have never used a better helmet ever and I have been riding for 8 years. Very good helmet.
