  • Hood:

Boston Mills and Brandywine in Peninsula, OH ... not that great but I'll take it. I live in North Royalton, OH.
  • Bio:

I'm only a casual rider but I love it. I have two Ride boards: a 147 Rapture with VXn bindings & a 147 Crush DFC with LXh bindings, hence my witty user name. I use Thirtytwo boots & Special Blend outerwear.

I swear by SB, and this is no exception. Although thin, it IS completely windproof - something much appreciated in autumn & early winter. It's also pretty toasty, but it's not like you can wear it over a thermal and be good in the middle of January. Definitely a layering piece for riding, or for kicking around when the weather starts to cool. The only thing I don't particularly care for is how the torso isn't that long. But it's fitted snug, so it's not like it'll creep up a whole lot. The gray is a "cute" print ... I got this for its ability, not the pattern, but it's subtle.

DC Gamut Softshell Jacket - Women's

Also consider her shoulder width and her bust. I'm 5'6", about 130, with a small bust but broad shoulders and a large fits perfectly. Plus this stuff is tend to be cut smaller to "hug" the body so think about if she likes to wear stuff loosely or tightly (and what she'll layer with it). At least a large, but maybe an XL? Always better to have more room! Hope this helps.

Nixon Vega Watch - Women's

I have a super slim wrist... about 7". I know it's stretchy, but how big is it "as is?" I don't want it slipping around or potentially falling off.

I was looking for some boots to wear not only to and from riding (these feel SO GOOD after riding for a few hours), but to kick around in when the snow piles on. They're uber warm and way more comfy than you may expect. The sizing is a bit goofy, I wear a 9 or 10 and the large fits nicely (they loosen up after a few times). I think anyone with a true 10+ shoe may have a slight prob. But they're totally worth it, I wear them every chance I get!

I got this for my boyfriend and he loves it. He wears it all of the time, including boarding. It stays put and keeps him warm. A plus is how it's soft inside AND out. Now he wants one in another color ...
