Fun Board but Watch Out for Nose Jussi 159

Burton Jussi Snowboard

Burton Jussi Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 March 5, 2009

I really like the feel of this board. It has good flex which makes it fun to pop off rollers, nose and tail rolls are really easy too and it swings around effortlessly. It easily handles full out bombing runs through crud and chop. The edge hold is one of the best I've had. My only problem is I snapped the nose coming off a cat track landing a 180 on the backside of a pretty big bump. It was only the 5th or 6th time I had it out so it should of taken that pressure (I'm around 160 pounds) but it didn't. Waiting for Burton to send me another one.
I use the Jussi 159 with the Cartel GMPs and Rome Marshall boots- definitely the most comfortable set I've had. Nice and flexy with just right amount of support to keep it going in the trees and chutes. Bottom line on the Jussi for me is that it is awesome bread and butter board that is a lot of fun and that's all I care about. As long as Burton keeps replacing them I'll keep riding it.
Also, the ICS/EST system is the best. There's nothing like being right on the board and feeling everything. It makes riding much better.

Not For Me- Too Stiff

Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 23, 2008

I'm going to rate this right in the middle because I know a lot of people like them. I just found them ridiculously stiff. I've been wearing Ions for front and back country and thought I'd get the Drivers strictly for the bc and save the Ions for lift service. But these boots were like having 2x4's jammed in your liner. I like to draw out my turns and feel the board under my feet. These boots deadened all the feel and limited all moves to tiny little tilts. I didn't like it. And my shins ached like hell after wearing them.
