Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard

Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard

Rating for this product: 1 December 16, 2011

Call me what you want, but when you are charging down a hard pack slope with tons of slop everywhere around 1pm, this board does not hold an edge. I found it to be light under foot yes but i could feel each little dribble of snow cookies under foot. Meaning it did not dampen any vibration.

This was at Demo Day at Boreal 12/8/11.

id rather ride one of my older rental boards that was regular camber.

Never Summer SL Snowboard

September 27, 2011

im 5'6 and 165-175lbs...i have been rocking the SL since 2006 (with Rocker/camber) and I absolutely love it. If you are gaining weight, i would tell you to get the longer 158, but if you enjoy a lower swing weight the 155 will suffice.

i also ride a 153 evo! cant go wrong with a NS

Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

January 15, 2011

i would avoid going with anything burton so long as they are doing the est/ics system on their boards... its just another "simpler" design from a douchie company that has not back their products for over 5 years... EXAMPLE: i want to buy a baron ES or a Vapor (both have that waffle alum. core) that is used on the space luner lander or w/e...but what they fail to tell you is that the product tends to compress (and it can only compress once) thus if you hit a rock (and compress the base) you are FUCKED ;)

Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

January 15, 2011

lib tech's are sweet but they are not as durable as one would hope...ive seen plenty of these come into the shop with some dings around where the effective edge and board side wall meet...not to say other boards are bomb-proof but to some extend the revolver will suffice more so than the banana... but... id wait and see what next year's graphic will be for the revolver (its SWEET)

Never Summer SL Snowboard

January 14, 2011

i own both the evo and the sl... and to put it perspective, my lady who is like 5'6 140ish (haha) is riding my evo 153 while im rocking my SL-R 155.... evo is so smooth in comparison to other park boards-especially when carving into a section to get to or leave a park-nice in pow (if you get it a size larger) and bottom line this is one of the best companies out there to get a deck from. super soft but great edge hook up when you want it.

DVS Transom Snow Shoe - Men's

DVS Transom Snow Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 8, 2010

if you like shoes that are waterproof because you go to the snow BUT you also skate: BUY THIS NOW! i am wearing them right now in class in San Francisco. I tell you this: these shoes are warm, these shoes are comfy (i replaced the footbed per my own preference) and they will let you walk through rain puddles, mud, and snow with out your sock getting wet.

They are the one. holler.

oh, and well when you are Blazin, and you step into that puddle in ur skate shoe w/o it being water proofed: it totally kills the high!

think about it

Ride Delta MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2009

Ride bindings have not let me down. My first pair of bindings were Ride, and now I run Ride Deltas on my NS SL-R and i run Older Ride SPi's with 2007/08 burton toe-caps (prior to the hole in the toe style seen these days). As a shop employee and a seasoned rider: Rides provide the stability and stiffness needed for daily abuse on pow and park runs alike.

Best of the Best

Never Summer Evo-R Rocker/Camber Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2009

Tony & the pals at Never Summer hooked it up in March last season by sending me the 2009/2010 Evo-R in white, size 153! It is one of the best boards I've ever ripped on. I run a medium binding and am a smaller guy but this board holds such an edge at high speeds but is so soft when hitting boxes or booters. If you want a durable, stable-yet-soft board for all conditions with main focus on lapping the park half the day: look no further. (weeps cause its not snowing)
