Adequate

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 February 8, 2010

I am a petite with a curvy, athletic build and bought these bottoms in a large. The waist fits well and although they are a little longer than I had hoped, they still function as 3/4 length. I wear them as a base layer under my snowboard pants on warmer days (30 degrees F and up), and they are soft, comfortable, and keep me warm and dry. I chose the lime green/rings pattern, and I like it even though the rings look like beer bottle marks. Despite the cool pattern, though, these are not fashion bottoms as the elastic waist and loose fit result in unflattering bagginess around the waist and butt.

Good Base Layer

Roxy Supercharged 3/4-Length Long Underwear Bottoms - Women's

Roxy Supercharged 3/4-Length Long Underwear Bottoms - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2010

I am a petite with a curvy, athletic build and bought these bottoms in a medium. I like that even though I am petite, the pants are still a 3/4 length so I don't have to worry about bunching in my boots. I have some junk in the trunk and the pants are a bit tight around the butt (they have more of a compression fit) and the waistband could be a little higher. However, they don't slide down or cut into me. The fabric is quite soft and very comfortable. I use this as a medium-weight layer and have found it to be great for riding on cold days (0-30 degrees F) as a base layer under my snowboard pants. It also performs pretty well during aerobic activity (i.e. hiking, snowshoeing) on cold days-- I don't end up clammy after sweating. The only criticism I have is that, for some reason, the tag is attached in the seam of the butt, which as you might imagine isn't the most comfortable spot for it to be.

Warm and soft

Roxy Shaker Long Underwear Top - Women's

Roxy Shaker Long Underwear Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2010

I am a petite with a curvy, athletic build and bought this top in a large. It is long, which is good because it doesn't come untucked from my snowboard pants, but luckily the shoulders and sleeves fit appropriately. The fabric is quite soft and very comfortable. I use this as a medium-weight layer and have found it to be great for riding on cold days (0-30 degrees F) as a base layer under my snowboard pants and fleece-lined jacket. It also performs pretty well during aerobic activity (i.e. hiking, snowshoeing) on cold days-- I don't end up clammy after sweating. Finally, the pattern (blue and green on a cream background) is stylish enough that I don't worry about wearing it apres.
