These boots are amazing. While offering plenty of comfort and flex hiking up to reslay that kicker, they're a snug fit, so you'll have to take care when removing them after a long day of riding. I experienced virtually no heel lift with these after getting them appropriately tightened down. The Lock Down Speed Lace mechanism at first seemed flimsy and likely to break, but it held up fine and resulted in an amazing fit surrounding the ankles. I also suspected that as a sacrifice for weight and comfort these boots would be a little thin, possibly meaning cold wet feet by the end of the day...well, this turned out not to be the case. They're super warm, made from quality materials, and kept my feet toasty each day on the slopes. I cannot stress how unbelievably comfortable these boots are - not to mention they're lightweight, meaning you can pretty much fly all day. Excellent for wide-range of applications - ride n style.

Solid choice in manufacturing materials starts off this review on a high note. These things are durable, and I made sure to put that to the test with some really hard riding. Unclear how much shock-absorption is gained with the specialized base material, but in comparing with my old step-ins which were basically metal on metal these represent huge progress. All angles are adjustable. I was really impressed with the response these offered, carving was just as good if not better than the step-ins. Docking .4 points for some toe-strap slippage resulting from ice buildup - the front toe-strap didn't stay locked and had loosened a little bit by the end of some runs. However, after cleaning off the ice like a responsible rider they were solid and good to go for many more killer runs. Quick and easy adjustment - 20s max delay after getting off the lifts.
