Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard

November 4, 2010

I rode an Evil Twin for two seasons and loved it. Probably my favorite deck ever. I've ridden Customs and WWWs also.

Put these on and rip it.

Burton AK 2L Gore-tex Stagger Pant - Men's - 09/10

Rating for this product: 2 March 8, 2010

Literally.

I spent about 10 days in these pants last season and the seams in the seat pulled apart leaving a large rip in the butt. The seams at the boot cuffs pulled apart also. Durability is the big problem here.I really wanted to like these pants, the waterproofing was great, the shell was good for warm spring days but you could layer for colder days too. I also like the style (simple, good looking cut), and fit which was just the right amount of baggy. As much as I liked everything else, for $300+ I expect the pants to be bombproof. Thankfully Dogfunk allowed me to return the pants - great service as always!

Rule the playground

K2 WWW Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 March 8, 2010

I love this board for just playing around the whole mountain. I started riding softer boards a few years ago and it's hard for me to go back to stiffer rides - they're just not as much fun. The WWW is definitely a soft board, really easy to press, great on rails/boxes. When I'm riding the WWW I feel like the whole mountain is a playground.

I'm 5'9", 155 and I ride the 148. The "jib tip" gives you a longer effective edge so you can size down a little bit and I like shorter boards in general. The board does wash out a little bit when landing spins for me

Great for cold days

686 Mannual Militant Insulated Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 5, 2010

Spent about five days so far in these pants. I think they're great for the price, they seem well constructed, durable and have good waterproofing. Even during single digit days I didn't need anything but the skivvies underneath. They seem to fit true to the sizing chart provided - I'm 5'9", 150 and went with the medium because I wanted a baggier fit. Check the picture I added. I went with the dark teal denim color and the product pictures here are really close on the actual color.

My gripes are few and small. The leg vents are really low, the go from about shin to knee so there's not a lot of flow for the boys. The cargo pockets have a button and small piece of velcro but no zipper so it may be possible for the hardware to fall out.

All-in-all, great pants. I like them better than any pair of Burton's that I've owned, including some Gore-tex AKs.
