DC PBJ Snowboard

February 15, 2010

Oh yeah, this board was made for Jibbing. If you have ever heard of a Lib Tech Skate Banana, this is its DC equivalent. All my friends ride DC boards, and every single one of them loves it.
Oh yeah, and some dude by the name of Halldor Helgason rides this board also. If you haven't hear of him check out his video part in They Came From, he won video part of the year. Let me know if you think this board sucks for jibbing after you watch it.

Nitro Team Series Snowboard

February 15, 2010

Yeah this is an awesome starter board, it's has camber technology meaning easier turns, carving, and mobility (exactly what you'll need). It will give you durability, and a great place to start learning from.

Burton Fix Snowboard - 09/10

February 14, 2010

I agree, the Hero is the way to go. The Burton Fix and Dominant have what's called a P-Rocker, whereas the Hero has what's called a V-Rocker. Although they both have their perks, the V-Rocker has 3 different rocker points (between your feet, and one outside each of your feet) as opposed to the P-Rocker's 2 (Outside each of your feet). This basically means that your gonna be able to feel more, and control yourself easier. If you've never ridden on a rocker board before, the Hero is gonna make you never want to go back, get ready to own those rails and boxes.

K2 Snowboards Grom Package S - Boys'

February 14, 2010

It's the same for a boy's or girl's snowboard, the board's height should be between your chin and nose.
Here's what usually works for the little guys;
4 ft: 110cm
4'2": 114cm-120cm
4'4": 115cm-125cm
4'6": 118cm-135cm
4'8": 120cm-135cm
5 ft: 130cm-142cm

Lib Technologies Skate Banana Original BTX Snowboard

February 14, 2010

No it shouldn't be, the reason for the larger with is not to accommodate a bigger boot size, but to make it easier to rip it up out on the powder. This is why nearly every 'powder' and 'backcountry' board you see is usually sold as a 'wide'. You may or may not know that once you start hitting jumps and gettin air, landing is completely different back there. The extra surface area helps you to stomp those landings and to glide around without getting sucked into the snow. Just be sure to lean back!

Well, Hello Camber Technology

Salomon Riot Snowboard

Salomon Riot Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 February 13, 2010

Holy nuts, this thing's got pop. Great board for intermediate and up ridders.
This board is the perfect definition of camber technology, great stability with lots of pop, but not the best on rails/boxes. This is the board you take out west to go hit jumps and just shred the mountain. It has a 'stiff' feeling to it, meaning that it's great for some hardcore carving.
I wouldn't spend $400 on it, around $300 would be a good price.
Get ready to get some big air.
