K2 Believer Snowboard

April 23, 2009

Hey so I've been looking to get this board for next season, and I can't decide which size to get. I'm currently riding a K2 Brigade 155, I'm 5'11 and 165lbs. I'm debating between the 154 or 157.

I ride mainly all mountain with some jumps and jibs thrown in when I pass through. When there's fresh pow I don't hesitate to get myself into the deep stuff.

So my question really is, should I size up to improve speed and performance in powder? Or size down to make improve freestyle performance?

This is the first board I owned, and it made a good entry level board. It performs very well for its affordability, able to take on powder and icy slopes as well as some basic jumps and jibs. The flex is a little stiffer so it isn't the most forgiving board, but after a day on it I've been able to carve naturally. Recommended to those who are just getting into boarding.

Great water proof gloves that keep my hands completely dry and warm. When the sun comes out the vents help to bring in some cool air to my hands. And now that spring time is rolling in, I've been using the underglove by itself as I ride through the warm days.

Light and responsive binding. I've had no problem with the straps whatsoever, I'm always the first one ready to go down the mountain and always the first one ready to get back in line up the lift. Great all mountain binding with tight response and plenty shock absorption.
