October 20, 2009

Where can I get a replacement liner? The Bern web site says that it is available, but I can't find it anywhere!

Love it

Ride Solace Snowboard - Women's

Ride Solace Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 13, 2009

Love the board! I have the 146cm at 5'5. I am a beginner, and LOVE this board. Although I don't have too much to compare this board to, I've got no complaints yet. I think this board is perfect if you're still learning like me.

Sturdy Mounts!

Yakima FatCat 6

Yakima FatCat 6

Rating for this product: 5 April 13, 2009

For a few bucks more, get this FatCat 6 instead of the FatCat 4. So far, I've clamped down 3 snowboards with this, and we safely drove up the mountain and back with out any whistling noises or any other issues other people have complained about (with Thule & Inno). I highly recommend this Yakima mount because of it's sleek design. It took us over an hour to attach these onto our car rack, so I wouldn't recommend taking them on and off your car until the season is completely over! Also, if you're going to get this mount, be sure to pick up some keys while you're at it! You don't want to stop to grab a bite to eat, and then come back to your car to find that all your expensive gear has been stolen!!!

Hideous... on me!

Special Blend Justice Snowboard Pant - Women's

Special Blend Justice Snowboard Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 April 10, 2009

The pants look good on a hanger. However, when I tried them on, they were not cute on me at all! I have a pair of Special Blend board pants that I LOVE - particularly b/c the length is adjustable. However, this one didn't have it and I was so bummed out. The waist also seemed too high to be normal, and I felt like I was living in a previous decade.

Soft & Comfy

Burton Leisure Suit - Women's

Burton Leisure Suit - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 10, 2009

My title says it all. I hate look of bib pants, and these suit does the trick if I eat it and get snow up my shirt or down my pants! It's super soft and so comfortable. My only complaint is that there aren't actual butt flaps... there are snap buttons down the butt & crotch area.

Cute, Comfy & Convenient!

Ride Sash Boa Coiler Snowboard Boot - Women's

Ride Sash Boa Coiler Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 10, 2009

I love these board boots! They are soft on the inside, so comfortable and really easy to tighten up with the boa system. I got the white pair and was worried I would get them dirty & scuffed up as a beginner snowboarder. However, these boots have been able to hold their own and still look pretty new after the season. The only annoying thing is that it is a little difficult to hook my leash into the wire laces.

Good Bindings

Burton Lexa Snowboard Binding - Women's - 08/09

Burton Lexa Snowboard Binding - Women's - 08/09

Rating for this product: 4 April 10, 2009

My only complaint is that it's been really difficult to strap into my bindings b/c the straps are a bit stiff to move into nicely & easily into place. On the flip side, it's super easy to release the straps to get out of my bindings. Once I'm strapped into them, they're awesome. They look great and they've got good control.

Black/Plaid Hunter

Bern Berkeley Helmet - Women's

Bern Berkeley Helmet - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2009

This Bern Berkeley is as cute as a helmet can be. The only thing is that the photo on Dogfunk of the black/plaid hunter style doesn't have that front flap at the forehead area. However, when I received it, it came with that front flap... I like it better like that anyway, so it worked out for me, but be forewarned if that's a style you don't like/want. Anyway, my head measures 57cm around, so I got a size L. With the snap-in liner, it's still loose inside and can probably fit another beanie, which leads me to think that you should order a size down if you are between sizes. Check the Bern website's sizing chart for more information.

Dakine Low Roller 157cm

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

Rating for this product: 4 April 2, 2009

I got the pink plaid 157cm for my 146 board. Depth-wise, it JUST fits with the bindings. The boot pockets also fit my women's size 8 boots perfectly, with a little extra room to store goggles, beanies, etc. I got the 157 mainly bc that's the largest size that most airlines accept for check-in (without an added fee). However, as a bonus, there is still extra room to store my boarding clothes. My only complaint is that there aren't extra pockets on the inside to store small personal items.

So cute!

Special Blend True Insulated Jacket - Women's

Special Blend True Insulated Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 2, 2009

I give this jacket 4-stars only because of the cuteness factor. However, Gnu259 is right about the powder skirt being too high - more annoying than functional. The length for me (I'm 5'5) was perfect - not too short where snow rides up my back when I fall, and not too long where I look like I'm wearing boxy pajamas. Love the buttons on the sides and on the hood, although I'm worried that they will eventually fall off after a few times of wear/wash! If you know how to sew or reinforce buttons, I would highly suggest you do that after you get the jacket! I've only worn the jacket once so far in Big Bear @ 55-degree weather, so I'm not sure how well insulated this thing actually is... however, I can always layer with thermals and fleeces!
