Burton Bliss Reversible Down Jacket - Women's

I'd say small... they run pretty true to size. You few inches extra in your height added with the slight tapered on the bottom of the jacket would gear you to the slightly larger size.

Burton Hate Snowboard

For sure... Its a medium to soft flexing board with camber. Camber stomps landings! It will perform well on jumps, but does not have the ultra aggresive power of a stiff board. However, if you buy an ultra stiff board, you will not be stoked on how it performs on flat lands tricks or jibs (rails, boxes, etc.)

Unless you are hitting jumps that are over 50-60 foot, I think you will be more than happy with this boards performance on jumps! ... and you will be wicked-stoked on how this thing jibs and rides rails!

It on the inside left (right below) chest panel. Its got a lil' stash pocket for you Ipod, and then a place to run your cord with a lil' loop to hold your headphones in place. Best place to keep you Ipod as its easy to control from here and you don't have to worry too much about landing on it!

A small but great feature in most Burton jackets that make it that
much sweeter!

hope that helps!

Burton Cartel Snowboard Binding

November 12, 2009

I would suggest the P1... for two reasons (and keep in mind that you said you want it for a jib board)

- Its softer flexing with a dual component tray... A stiffer polycarbonate (with slight nylon composite) around the heal spur gives you toe to heal drive, but a softer polycarbonate underfoot makes it way fun and JIBBY!

- The hi-back is slightly lower in height, and does not have as much forward lean built into it. Very jibber-rific!

Both have great cushioning, wicked comfy straps, sturdy buckles, and lifetime warranties on the trays.

Either one will stoke you out, but I drop my two cents on the P1!!!

Gravis Shadow Backpack - 25L

Rating for this product: 4 November 11, 2009

My favorite thing about this bag (besides being able to drop into a secret style compartment in the back) is the laptop compartment. It is placed in the middle of the bag instead of up against your back. So, it gets protected from all sides! -- and has awesome padding! Super rad design. Worth every penny!

Gravis Jetway Rolling Bag - 44L

Gravis Jetway Rolling Bag - 44L

Rating for this product: 5 November 11, 2009

Drag this around any airport of choice and feel confident that even if the luggage people on the tarmac are tossing this thing around it will come out solid.

Very durable construction with sturdy skate wheels (sorry rollerbladers), folds open like a clam-shell, tons of zippered organization inside.

A no brainer! Personally, I dig the bold the bold poppy green as no one else will have that one at the airport... But black and brown are both unique and styling!

THIS BAG IS SICK!

Gravis Metro Backpack - 25L

Gravis Metro Backpack - 25L

Rating for this product: 5 November 11, 2009

What up everyone?

This thing is amazing... the padding in the laptop compartment is crazy-thick and cushy. You definitely don't have to worry about damaging any computer here.

Internal organization in the main compartment is dialed, and even the smaller long external pockets have organization separations chambers... seriously sick.

The look is simple and clean.. the bags has been around for a bit but this shape does not go out of style. Built to last for sure.

The straps are ultra comfortable and this is literally my daily user... and trust me, I'm a backpack snob.

I think you'll dig it!

Burton Grail Snowboard Boot - Men's

November 11, 2009

Hey there Streblo... Sorry you feel that way about the flex 2 Liner... But to be frank, that JJ boot is way too soft for me to, I like something with a medium Flex.

When considering the liner its just as important to consider the Overall construction/material of the boot. Jeremy's boot is about minimalistic materials with a skate-like look and feel... and ultra soft flex.

The Grail is all performance! I just rode it today for opening day at Brighton, UT... and it is definitely not too soft for me. It is going to break in a bit, but I actually unlaced the top of the boot today as it felt a little stiff when jibbing around. Again, it will break into a softer boot, just not as soft as the JJ. The flex three liner does have the infinifit liner that makes for a better base for the foot bed. Overall, the liner construction is similar (flex 2 to 3). As mentioned above, emphasis should be placed on both the construction of upper and lower of the boot to dial in and adjust the flex.

Some other options might be that you may want to take a look at; Shaun's boot. Its slightly stiffer and has an imprint liner (thus the power panels run up near the top of the boot) Many of Burton (and other companies) Pro's still ride the Shaun White boot because it is a solid performing boot, with a slightly above medium flex.

And from there you can also look into the Ion. Flex here is slightly above Shaun's boot.

Cut and Paste these:

Happy Hunting! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Red Wrist Guard

November 10, 2009

These are super low profile and comfortable for a wrist guard! But, they are still wrist guards ...so you do need a tiny bit of room inside your glove to fit them. I have had to wear them before and fit them under a pair of AK gloves, which are generally considered to be a pretty tight fitting set.

You should be all good as long as you can wiggle some fingers up into your glove on either side of your wrist when one is on your hand.

Good luck, and no more broken wrists! Those are no fun! believe me, I know :)

Burton Coco Snowboard Boot - Women's

November 10, 2009

Hey Flo-Rida Girl...

My two cents... if you want a pair of boots that will last a few seasons, I would step up to something slightly higher than a Coco. The Mint is Burton's best selling Burton boot for a reason.

- It looks awesome!
- Its got a heat moldable liner -- which equates to amazing comfort! (plus it has insane out of the box feel)
- It has a quick lacing system called speedzone... makes it easy to tie and untie in a hurry.

Copy and paste this:

http://www.dogfunk.com/snowboard/Burton-Mint-Snowboard-Boot-Womens/BUR1200M.html

They are slightly over your $150 mark, but the extra $10 is well worth it!!!

Ohh, and to answer you question on whether Burton is the way to go or not. Lets face it, I'm a little biased, but snowboarders believe in Jake Burton and the company for a reason. Burton's concentration is on making the best product for ever level rider and at every price-point.

Promise that you'll be stoked!

Happy shredding!

p.s. You'd be stoked on the Coco's... but slightly more impressed with the mints!

HANDS DOWN, THIS THING IS SO SO SO SICK!!!

Burton Joystick Snowboard

Burton Joystick Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2009

The Joystick is my board of choice! I'm 6 foot and 195 lbs. (considering myself an advanced rider who likes tricks and powder) I ride the 157 as a park, rail, pipe, groomer stick... And then jump up to a 159 wide when its over knee high powder.

Just to note, this won the Transworld snowboarding good wood award!

Check out the full article here:

http://snowboarding.transworld.net/products/hardgoods/burton-joystick/

Here is what the non-Burton affiliated testers had to say:

“Very fun, stiffer rocker board.”
“This board is an amazing combination of flex and pop. It holds a perfect edge and struck me as an awesome park board as well.”
“Fun board to take anywhere on the mountain.”
“Super good all around board. Has reverse camber which will make it awesome in pow. Still has pop to get those big jumps stomped out. And it’s a bit pressy on rails.”
“This would be a very fun pow board. The rocker makes it feel a little soft for jumps but it still performs. Fun for butters too.”
“No confusing internet searches needed, the all-mountain rider has found its match. Fun to ride, pop for days and awesome to turn. It ain’t this thing’s first swing around the block!”

Burton Joystick Snowboard

November 10, 2009

154... for sure! ... ride rocker a couple centimeters smaller.

Here's why: With rocker you have more edge to use as it is already naturally arching to your turn. Your not pressing against the camber for turn initiation. Imagine it as extending your natural effective edge without actually doing so. (I know, doesn't make sense, so here is a comparison that will)

The Joystick is my board of choice! I'm 6 foot and 195 lbs. (considering myself an advanced rider who likes tricks and powder) I ride the 157 as a park, rail, pipe, groomer stick... And then jump up to a 159 wide when its over knee high powder.

Burton Joystick Snowboard

November 10, 2009

In my opinion a 154 is too big... However, a 150, although it will be a little big for him at first, will give some room to grow into it.

A 146ish is ideal right now, but you have to factor growth in if your son plans on riding it for a few seasons.

How quickly is he growing? What size foot does he have? The joystick is built as a mid-wide waist width meaning it can accommodate a large foot size (up to an 11 or 12) ... if his foot is smaller than this then it will just be a little slower edge to edge while turning but provide a great surface area (stability) for him.

You may also want to check out Burton's Hero board. Similar shape as the joystick with a less deep sidecut and a softer flex. A Hero 149 would be a perfect board for him. Even though its a little big to start, the softer flex (compared to a joystick) will make it more "fun" for him even though the length is longer. As he grows, the length will still be there!

Check it here:

http://www.dogfunk.com/snowboard/Burton-Hero-Snowboard/BUR2741M.html

Or the same board with a limited graphic choice is here:

Burton Grail Snowboard Boot - Men's

Yup, the liner has a full ankle support lacing system that attaches to inside bottom of the boot. (not actually attached to the liner -- which is actually a better construction than ones attached to a liner) The liner itself just Velcros on the top, but believe me, you won't have any issues with it. That NEW design came directly down from Jake Burton himself who rides more than all of us!

This boot is by far the best Boot I have ever ridden!!! The "holy shit" outsole is crazy-good. Lateral support with medial flex! banger!
