K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Binding

K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 2 November 8, 2009

In my opinion this system does not make things any faster or convenient. I ride K2 bindings but not these clunkers. They are heavy and a pain in the ass to get in and out of. If you want a K2 binding that make things a little speedier for entry/exit I'd go with one of the Auto models. As with all "unconventional" strap systems, keep in mind if you break parts and expect to be able to fix them @ the mountain you might be s.o.l.

K2 T1 Snowboard Boot - Men's

K2 T1 Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2009

This will be my 4th season in the T1. Really stiff out of the box but break in nicely. The liners don't pack out as quickly as a lot of other boots I've had. I usually just replace them when they start stinkin'. I really like the BOA liner but I'm gonna stick with good old-fashioned laces on the shell. If the cables break it's actually pretty easy to replace them provided you have the little allen wrench required and the correct length cable. My liner cables have never snapped but I've seen a lot of outer cables fray and break. 99% of the time it's due to resting a board edge on your unstrapped boot on the lift. Anyway, great boot for someone who doesn't like a mushy bag of slop.

This is the board I will shred on this season. It better be ripping like the Zeppelin. I do not like noodles under my feet.

K2 Believer Snowboard

K2 Believer Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 November 6, 2009

Rode for the last 2 years. Fun pretty much in any condition. Broke both of them. My brother broke 2 of them as well. K2 replaced them with no drama. Good on you K2! Sorry I can't land properly off of park jumps. Going with Slayblade this year. Hopefully it's like the Zeppelin. That was always my favorite all-around board. 4-5 ft possible in the cascades out of this storm. Gotta go wax!

For pow only

K2 Gyrator Snowboard

K2 Gyrator Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 6, 2009

Ripping pow board. When things get chewed up and you legs are feeling a little tired it can get a little squirrelly. It's actually pretty fun on smooth groomers but you really need to stay balanced or it will wash out quickly. I wouldn't recommend runs through a firm halfpipe on it. Very one dimensional but on a good pow day it's definitely my board of choice.

Lib Technologies T.Rice Pro Model C2 BTX Snowboard

November 6, 2009

Depends on how and where you ride. I'd go shorter for maneuverability based on your weight. Weight, strength and aggressiveness are more important in sizing than height. However boards with a significant amount of reverse camber do ride short. I have a 161 K2 Gyrator pow board and I'm 5'8" 170lbs and have been riding for about 15 years and it definitely doesn't feel long, especially on the deepest days.
