152 for sure it will fit you perfectly it will be nice and buttery for your jibbing and still be able to take it off smaller jump like 20- 40 feet, any bigger and it might get a little unstable and you could have trouble holding an edge on the bigger jumps... hope that helped

Well i think that you would have some over hang but if you really want this board you could make it work but you would need stance angles that are huge like 20 or bigger.... with a size 13 you should probably look more at the Wide or Mid Wide snowboards because you got to think a size 12 foot is approximately 30cm and the waist width is 26 cm so a 13 is even larger you would have some over hang..... I hope that Helped

Burton TWC Pro Snowboard

February 27, 2011

Well its not terrible for riding switch and it is amazing for switch..... if you need examples of that just watch Shawn White ride in the pipe last year he was amazing and this was the exact model he was riding but if you want some thing that is the exact same riding switch and regular look for a board that is "True Twin" if the boards description has True Twin it will have no difference riding switch and Regular. This board also has a vary small set back so its flex patterns through out the board are set up to ride with the nose first but by no means does that mean you can't ride switch on it at all...... hope that helped

Technine MFM Classic Snowboard

February 23, 2011

well he sounds like a beginner so i would say stay away form Technine boards because on average they are more of a heavy board. If he isn't doing tricks i would say a 158or 157 would be a good starting point for a board but if he wants to get more in to park riding or ticks i would say a 156 or 155 would be your best bet. And as far as boards go i would recommend......

Ride DH
http://www.dogfunk.com/ride-dh-snowboard
its a little more advance for a first board but it is also one of the best boards out there

Ride Crush
http://www.dogfunk.com/ride-crush-snowboard
its a little softer and its a "rocker" style snowboard witch makes it a good beginning board because it will be soft and forgiving board

DC PBJ
http://www.dogfunk.com/dc-pbj-snowboard
This is the board i personally ride right now its great true twin and this year's is zero camber so it is also vary forgiving and fun to learn on.

Forum Youngblood Chili-dog
http://www.dogfunk.com/forum-youngblood-chillydog-snowboard

You also might want to consider going for a Wide snowboard because at a size 12 he's is right on the edge of needing a Wide board and if you get him started on a wide board it should then having him switch after he gets more experienced.
As far as bindings go i would highly recommend the......
Rome 390's
http://www.dogfunk.com/rome-390-snowboard-binding
or
Any thing "Union" brand if you can find the right size at this point in the season
or Ride Contrabands
http://www.dogfunk.com/ride-nitrane-contraband-snowboard-binding
.... he will need a L/XL size for his boots....... hope that helped

February 21, 2011

well this is a good beginning board but i would also recommend the DC PBJ, Forum Youngblood, Lib-tech skatebanana, and the rome artifact would all be great boards for a beginner. Hi Jakob if your looking for your first board i would go with a soft forgiving board. And a twin board might not even be a horrible idea well your trying to figure out wither your goofy or regular. I would look more at a park style board even if you don't plan to be in the park much because they will be easier for you to learn on and be a little easier on your wallet as well. You also might think about a board with a reverse camber or rocker because these type of boards cut down on edge catching witch when your learning might not be a bad thing. I would check these boards out if i were you.....

Burton Hate Restricted Snowboard

November 8, 2010

Well i think that you will have too adjust to riding on a male board because they do have a different flex patterns and they are generally wider and stiffer so although it shouldn't be too bad it will take some time for you to get used to riding a guys board but once you get used to it u will be fine and i would say that a 148 would be to big id go 146 because mens boards are generally made to handle more wight for the size then girls board but you could ride a 148 but it will be kind of stiff.... hoped that helped

Ride Control Snowboard

November 7, 2010

yea you will have over hang and it will effect your abilities to toe side carve and you are going to need a wide board for sure because for a normal board the cut off at the vary max is a size 12 and they recommend a size 11 to be where you switch up to a wide board.....hoped that helped

Rome 390 Snowboard Binding

November 5, 2010

Well id still go with the 390's...... and this is why i don't know if you liked your EX's or not but yes they would have have a little smiler feel but the major difference is the special toe cup on the contrabands make a a lot of pressure points... but on the bright side for the contabands they are a vary light binding and a vary convenient but they have soo many set backs like i said in my first answer..... and as far as the look goes if you have last years society any of the 390's would look great on it because it is such a plain board.... and if you have this years the white and black ones would look sick on the black of that board..... hoped that helped

Great Board!!!!!!!!

Stepchild Snowboards JP Walker Pro Model Snowboard

Stepchild Snowboards JP Walker Pro Model Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 4, 2010

This is a great all around board it is a stiffer board in between the bindings witch gives this board a ton of pop and helps it float in deep powder. It is also a softer board out side of the bindings witch helps it press really well and just makes it a all around better ride. And this year it has a zero camber that means it a flat board when you put any wight on it and this also helps with the jibs and riding in the deep stuff...... Hope this helps anyone looking at this board

Rome 390 Snowboard Binding

November 4, 2010

The 390's for sure i have used a lot of bindings and these are my favorites because they are super comfy and Romes "no screw technology" is awesome and vary convenient for on the hill quick changes to the binding and the only other bindings i have ever used that even come close to them are any pair of Unions.... but any way back to the Ride Contrabands they are not vary good they do have some nice qualities like that you only have to tighten one binding at the top but they are vary uncomfortable and they are prone to break. And the Toe strap presses against your boot and makes pursuer points witch just makes for a bad ride....... Hoped that helped
