Skied for 10 years before switching to riding about 8-9 years ago. I don't spend much time in the park and am usually just looking for pow and sick lines in the back country. I am over 6' and weigh between 200-220 with a size 13 boot. I am currently riding last year's (2009) Rome Flag 168 with 2009 Union Data bindings and 2010 K2 T1 boots.

Great Gloves

DAKINE Cobra Glove - Men's

DAKINE Cobra Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2010

I love these gloves. I have taken them on warm days and my hands weren't too sweaty because there is enough room for airflow, but I have also taken them out in -8 and -15 days at big sky and stayed on the mountain when everyone else was rushing to the lodge because their hands were getting cold. I definitely recommend these......now if only they made them with gauntlets.

Definitely run a little small

Burton AK 3L Throttle Glove - Men's

Burton AK 3L Throttle Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 7, 2010

I got these gloves because I was tired of having gloves without a gauntlet on them and I wanted something that would be warm and toasty on cold powder days. They do run small which is a problem for me bc I wear xl. The polartec fleece liners are worthless as part of the glove because they make the gloves even smaller, but they are nice when you are off the mountain. Overall they are pretty well constructed and are extremely waterproof, but I will probably go back to Dakine gloves before I buy another pair of burton ones.

Great bindings

Union Data Snowboard Binding

Union Data Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2010

Awesome bindings. Period. Easy to adjust the highbacks and the straps are super comfy. Easily the most comfortable and most responsive bindings that I have owned. They also have built in padding under your boot and gas pedals which definitely helps when you have big feet like me. I used to be all about burton bindings but I am definitely sticking with Union now.

Out of the box

K2 T1 Snowboard Boot - Men's

K2 T1 Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 13, 2009

Just got the boots and out of the box they are pretty stiff as the other review says, but that I was looking for a stiffer boot. Just messing around with them the BOA internal cable locks down your heel extremely well and is a cinch to use. Also for bigger-footed guys like me it is nice that they don't have an enormous footprint like some other boots. I can't wait to get them on the hill I definitely suggest checking these out and with dogfunk's return policy you can always return them if they aren't for you.

Just got back from a trip to WY and loved these boots. 1st day they were a bit uncomfortable but after that they were perfect. I ordered true to shoe size and was not disappointed. I have a relatively narrow foot and these fit me well.
