Usually when T-shirts are soft, its because its a poly-cotton blend. This is just 100% cotton shirt, so it will feel like all your other cotton shirts.

Volcom is known for their slim-hipster look. Quiksilver is more the surf look. So yes, this will fit looser than the Volcom you're referring to, just follow the size chart for your bod any you'll be set.

Um..if you're riding Mt Hood in the summer yeah these are warm enough, but if you're trying to rock these on the Wasatch in January, I wouldn't recommend it. This is meant to keep you palms cool, not keep 'em warm.

This is a great jacket for those breezy nites on the pier. Its lightly insulated so not gonna be so sweet for those brisk morning strolls from class to the library, unless your going to school where the weather rarely changes.

The sizing chart is based off of actual frame measurements. The fit of this suit is indeed slim. If he wants a more "traditional" fit then You should probably look into something else, but if hes okay w the slim look go for it.

KR3W generally has a slimmer fit, so this won't bag on you like an Oakley flannel. Just follow the size chart and you should be good to go ; )

Yeah these are pretty true to size. Volcom as a brand just kind of runs 'small' so if you get a bigger size, its prob just going to be longer, probably not wider, but the straps might be a tad longer. If you are having an issue with the width, I would recommend looking into another brand.

This does not have a specific "UPF" rating, that some clothing does have, however this is still going to provide protection from the sun. But not at a specific UPF 50 or anything like that.

This is designed to hold only one board, but considering most skim boards are pretty thin you might be able to get 2 in there. Just put something between them to prevent from gettin dinged up. But if you are buying this specifically for multiple boards, you're definitely taking a gamble. But if it doesn't work just send it back. We don't mind.

Measure the hand circumference around your hand at the widest point excluding the thumb. Just below the base of your fingers.

xs- 5-5.5in
sm- 5.5-6.5in
med-6.5-7.5in
Lg- 7.5-8.5in
8.5-9.5in

It depends a lot on your riding style, but that seems about right. That length will give you the option to go freestyle or freeride..pretty much the best of both worlds. Go for it.

Yeah these will look like black denim. Rest assured they are not "actual" denim..since that would take FOREVER to dry. So yeah, they are just a normal elastic, like most goggle bands, and will dry just as quickly.

These are definitely a more fitted board pant, but the gold picture doesn't really represent the item the best. We feel that the Cerise and True black are a more accurate representation of this pant. So if you have really athletic legs this is probably going to be a tight fit, but if your legs are of "average" size then you should be good. Hope that helps you in your decision making. Cheers!

Yeah, these aren't the uber baggy gangsta fit by any means. They are also not the tight tehcy "touring" fit either. They lie in that happy medium of comfy and steeze. You can of course order a size up, and grab a belt, that would increase the bag/sag factor a bit..but these are definitely 2 layer Gore-Tex and will keep your playa ass warm & dry!

Given your build I would say a medium. Oakley tends to run somewhat big, so I feel like while a large might work too but the cut through the torso will be like a tent on you. But you know your body better than i, so just go off of the sizing chart..that is truly your best guide. Happy hunting : )
