Whats up with narrow boards? are there any advantages( specifically jib wise)? Ive been riding wider boards for the past 8 years but i only run a size 9.5 boot, up here in the northwest we ride sketchy terrain even when theres no pow... so whats up with narrow decks?

So the smallest size is also a narrow board, ive been riding mervins decks for a while and there normal decks are a little wider than average so I was wondering if theres any advantage to narrow decks (specifically jibbing).
I live in the NW too so even with out pow we hittin some steeps and sketchy features

im about 5'8" and 145-150lbs , been running a 153 Lib MC kink btx for a bit and wanted something softer for rails. The thign about the MC is that the kink tips make it shorter than 153 and im worried that getting a draft in a 153 will feel too long for jiberjabbing
