These boots are about average in terms of warmth, and the heel stays locked in nice and tight once you get used to the in-out liner tightening system. The liners are decent, but the midsole provides plenty of cushion on its own.
Be warned that these are a stiff boot, almost like the Burton Driver X, so more designed for pow/carving/backcountry than the park
