Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard

November 23, 2011

I'm looking into getting a second snowboard. I want one that is more of an all mountain that is longer than what i have to give me another option other than my freestyle specific board. I have a burton blender 145, but actually learned on a rental that was a 149. I'm a decent rider and i want to take a step up. I hear a lot of good things about the custom flying v. I'm looking at either the 148 or 151. i'm a female 5'4" 145lbs. Is this a terrible idea or not so much?

So if i'm used to riding between a 148 and 145cm board the Nug 142 would work well?

Demoed this board and fell in love with it

Burton Blender Snowboard - Women's

Burton Blender Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2011

I demoed a 145 blender after demoing a 149 lipstick. I fell in love with the blender instantly. It has a ton of pop. I was getting good air just on flat ground. It is also super flexible but at the same time i was surprised how well it handled on the entire mountain. I went down black diamonds with no problems and felt in total control. I was also surprised I liked the shorter board but that is a preference thing anyway. This is the board I will be purchasing.

Great boots

Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boot - Women's

Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2011

I love these boots! I only wore them around the house the night before i tested them on the slopes. I went boarding for 2 days in a row and they were 100 times better then the rental boots i had to use for the past month. The flex is great and I think they are super comfy. I got the 8.5(blue steel/disco) when I wore an 8 in rentals. 8.5 was a great choice they would have been way too small.
