Gold Coast Whizz Longboard

Gold Coast Whizz Longboard

Rating for this product: 5 July 24, 2012

This board is fun and flexy, like a true banana board should be. Really portable and light, and looks rad. The woodgrain on the top is my favorite design feature. Looks totally different from other plastic boards out there. Wheels are soft and grippy, hard to powerslide. Over all, would say a great bang for your buck.

Gold Coast Whizz Longboard

The small size is great for portability, but will ride very differently from your 36"+ longboards. Much like a snowboard set up, you choose different boards for different styles of riding. I use my Whizz to get from the train to work, mellow hill bombing around my neighborhood, and if I need to pop over to 7-11 or something. Would not recommend as a board to bomb steep hills on, but hey, I'm a wuss like that.

Gold Coast Whizz Longboard

Silly car you can't ride a skateboard, you are a car.
Seriously though:
The plastic used is very durable, but it is designed to have a banana board (flexy) feel. I've ridden mine for months and it's just as fun as the day I got it.

This is my favorite cruiser in the line. It's got a banana board aesthetic, big, soft wheels, and a rad look over all. I use it to get around mostly, but like to set up some cones and get my slalom on sometimes.

Gold Coast Pier Longboard

May 16, 2011

There are easier boards to "bomb hills" on, but you can do it on a Pier. It wasn't designed to be a race board by any means, more of a cruiser like @Josh Chapman mentioned above. Tighten those trucks and watch out for speed wobbles.
