At the ISPO trade show last winter all I could think about was making pants that were tight like old Roffe ski pants. i wanted tight stretch pants. I drew them in a sketchbook and said, "this is the first new style for Betty Rides 12/13!" We had a pro to made soon after. I rode in the pro to this summer on the glacier. I loved the feeling of the Softshell pants so much! I had wanted to do long hoody soft shells for sometime now. Anyone who snowboards knows that this silhouette has been around for 5+ years and does not appear to be going away anytime soon. The flex you get from the soft-shell fabric is really good. I can't wait to wear test it some more before bulk production!

The subtle custom emboss pattern adds interest and makes the fabric our own. i had Olya and Danika in the studio to review the design boards. The girls looked at everything and said, "where is the animal print?" I showed them an animal print that we had developed for swimwear. The print is a combination of 2 other animal prints we had done in the past. They both wanted it for outerwear. How could I say no to them?!

This collection was inspired by one of my favorite Russian customers. He has been asking me to bring back the Dynasty print that we did a few years back. The solid colors in this collection are very saturated and rich. The Royal blue and Fuchsia glow. The Taupe is the perfect neutral that goes with everything a woman already owns. The metallic silver zippers are bling without being tacky. The shell fabric is a two way stretch twill with a 15K laminate. The fabric feels amazing. The colors energize you. We love it!
