Airblaster S.A.R.S. Jacket - Men's

Airblaster S.A.R.S. Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

I had last years SARS and that was a paper thin pocket less windbreaker for spring days. This year the jacket is quite different. It's basically a quality shell with zippered pockets. 5K waterproofing, lightweight, and durable. Throw on a couple layers and you can easily manage on a mild winter day. Other than features, it rivals last year's vintersars (not this years).

Another winner from Coal

Coal The V-Neck Gator

Coal The V-Neck Gator

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2007

Soft, comfy, and warm. Exactly what I was looking for. The cutouts at the bottom also prevent the gator from bunching up which was a plus.

Perfect size

Airblaster The Thin Hat - 10 in

Airblaster The Thin Hat - 10 in

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2007

My head is about 22-23inchs in circumference and this hat fits me pretty well. Just enough for a bit of sag in the back without the floppiness and not too loose where it would fall off. For reference it's thinner than the coal frena (almost by half), an ~inch wider, & stretchier. The previous reviewer must have a small head. I found the Frena too tight (although a very nice hat).

Nice hat but a little small

Coal The Frena Solid Beanie

Coal The Frena Solid Beanie

Rating for this product: 3 November 13, 2007

The frena from this year is longer (about 10.5 inches) but not too long. Perfect for the smurf/reservoir tip look. It is also very thick for an acrylic hat so it should keep most heads warm and toasty. The width however is a little too narrow although my head isn't very big (22-23in). I usually loosen up my hats with a steam iron but this one doesn't stretch much. I love the cut, material and length but the width is far from ideal. Maybe in the future they will put out a wider/thinner version.

Great Jeans

Element Symbols Denim Pant - Men's

Element Symbols Denim Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 27, 2007

I love the fit of these jeans. I was afraid they would be too tight but they are just right. Looser in the thigh than the picture (at least for me) and enough room for an arm. Similar cut to the levi's 527 bootcut but a bit under an inch smaller in the opening from crotch to bottom.

Beware of sizing

Volcom Carry On Collection Hat

Volcom Carry On Collection Hat

Rating for this product: 3 January 5, 2007

My hat size is around a 7 or 7 1/8 or 56-57cm around and this thing was way too small. I was told it was one size fits all but it definitely isn't. A sharp looking hat, too bad it didn't fit.

Huge...

Demon Snow Shin and Knee Rail/Edge Guard

Demon Snow Shin and Knee Rail/Edge Guard

Rating for this product: 1 January 4, 2007

I'd hate to give any product a 1 but I don't see them being very useful to most people. I'm doubting these were actually made for snowboarding. If anything, they are hockey guards relabeled for snowboarding. I'm 5'7 and have fairly long legs, but the smalls were too long (interfers w/ boots) and way too bulky as well as heavy (XL pants required?). You can easily get separate knee and shin guards that are much more low profile. I was fooled into thinking that these would combine the two into a neat package...

great beanie

Coal Waffle Beanie - Women's

Coal Waffle Beanie - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 February 24, 2006

Definitely a unisex beanie. Very warm, soft and comfy. The gaps in the knit surprisingly are not a big deal. Still warm in the mid teens. My only gripe is it frays easily making it really fuzzy which also sticks to your hair, goggles, etc.
