World Class Boot

DC Ceptor Snowboard Boot - Men's

DC Ceptor Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2013

In my opinion the Ceptor is the best lace-up for your money, especially on sale like I found it. I've moved to this boot from a worn out no name boot with no stiffness at all that has nearly caused broken ankles when landing toe side or free riding hard. The Alpha Liner is superb, gripping your Achilles Tendon and securing your ankle with the help of the ankle harness system. This results in a fit that is more solid yet far more comfortable than even a ski boot.

The only cons of the Ceptor I would say are the loss of edge awareness and feedback with this stiff of a boot, but you have to expect that. Read that as this is a terri le boot for a novice rider. The vent system works well, but it can make for cold feet with even the best socks on a cold January day in Tahoe or CO.

Highly recommend to any free riders who like to tear up the choppy stuff and would prefer not to break their ankles doing so.
