Hacob, clearly these other peeps don't know what they're talking about. One is a girl for god's sake. Unless she has balls.... Because you're only 5'6" and you want a snug fit (as with any boxer brief), I would choose the XS over the size S. If the XS size doesn't fit, hit up our customer service for an exchange and I will personally send you some kick @$$ Dogfunk decals. I hope that answers your question.

I would go off the waist sizing on the sizing chart. No off of your height and weight.
