Yes, the lacing system has improved, it's now "speed zone express". As Burton puts it "...offers riders all the benefits of the world’s strongest, easiest, and most comfortable lacing system in a design that’s even quicker in the clutch. All it takes is a one-handed pull of the single lace cable and your feet are locked in place, wrapped in continuous comfort from the top of the boot down."
