The Van Chukka Low is a Vulcanize Rubber which is durable and will stand the wear and tear of everyday use. The upper on the shoe is usually a canvas. If you are using these to skate, the grip tape will wear a hole in the canvas but make these have that worn in look that people like. For day to day use and just something to wear around the Chukka Low is a great choice. I have about 5 pairs of Vans and have had some pairs for years.
