well i know that these boots are for the park because they are so soft. But with the lacing system since it has 2 differnt zones to tighten differently will it be to soft for colorado. And how soft will they get compared to the freestyles?

Soft vs. Stiff in just a matter of what you like better. So Colorado to Vermont these things will be awesome if you want a really light weight, comfortable, and soft flexing boot. You brought up the Freestyle and that is a very good comparison. They are about the same flex as the freestyle (although made with much higher end components) Semi-equivalent tot eh construction of the Hail. The Ozone may feel slightly softer over time, as the flex liner in them has shorter powerpanels on the liner, so you can get a better medial and lateral flex. Hope that helps a tiny bit.
