I am a Firefighter with a skater trapped inside. I need a duty boot (not for structual firefighting of course) but to wear with my uniform. Could these boots pass as an everyday boot even in the summer months, and take a shop type beating.

The DC Mallard is a great work style boot with a skate flare. I used to wear them when I delivered for FedEx in the snowy months and they were amazing. They are also all black so they meet most uniform standards. The only caution I throw your way is for the summer months. They are marketed as a winter boot supposed to hold up to the cold temperatures and wet conditions. I cannot find any type of temperature ratings for this boot but if you don't mind your feet being slightly warm I say go for it.
