No it shouldn't be, the reason for the larger with is not to accommodate a bigger boot size, but to make it easier to rip it up out on the powder. This is why nearly every 'powder' and 'backcountry' board you see is usually sold as a 'wide'. You may or may not know that once you start hitting jumps and gettin air, landing is completely different back there. The extra surface area helps you to stomp those landings and to glide around without getting sucked into the snow. Just be sure to lean back!
