I'm a beginner and I've been looking to get my own board. I checked this one out and also the Burton Hero. I want to grow into my board instead of just spending on a beginner board and then having to spend money for another board later on. I can't make up my mind so if someone has any advice for me I would appreciate it. thanks

I got this board and its a little stiff. If you looking for a beginner board its great but if you want somthing that you can use for a longer time Id choose somthing else. On the upside it does have nice edging.

if you're looking into growing into your board, i'd go with the hero. it also depends on what you plan to ride. the clash is incredibly stiff but its more of a beginners board, this was my first season and i already outgrew its use and wish i got something a little better.

This board is great for beginners, the contact points are flipped up as to reduce the chance of catching your edge and falling. The hero is an awesome board as well. For the price, it might be worth it to get the hero now. It is a bit more of an aggressive board than the clash, but you'll be ok after a bit.
