Whats the benefit of these over the 390 bosses? Also, if I ride a ride jackson boa size 9.5, which seems to run smaller than other companies boots, what size should I get?

They are nearly identical with the Targa's being a little stiffer/more responsive. Don't get me wrong, you will have no trouble taking park laps with the Targa's. I wear a burton size 10 boot with the "shrinkage" technology so supposedly the outer boot is only a size 9. I ordered the S/M but they were too small. I sent them back for the L/XL and they are perfect. I was concerned because they went up to size 14 but don't worry they will fit your 9.5 boa's.
