Im six foot, 165 pounds and i was curious if the large would give me enough room or should i bump up to the XL. I definatly want some room but i dont want it falling off either

I'm just about your size and wore a large Volcom jacket from last year. I wish I had gotten the XL. The large was fine for layering and whatever, but it was too short to look cool. XL will be steezy baggy but not gigundo. So, I would guide you toward the XL but that's just me.
