I'm 5'5 and 143 lbs, i mostly ride the mountain, and rarely enter the park, but mostly use the mountain to play around a little.. Is the 153 to big for my size? I'm currently riding a Burton Twin 149 which I do kinda find a little bit too short, but I don't know if it's because I'm just short in general and looking at other peoples board sizes makes mine feel too short.. Boards are kinda expensive in my part of the world, so it's not like I've tried so many different sizes/brands etc.

board size is all about feel and riding conditions. if you stay in the park you can downsize. if you ride powder and like speed you will want to size up. the hybrid style of this board gives the board a bigger feel without extra cms. hope this helps. if at all possible rent or demo different boards to know what is out there.
