works just fine i had that same question. I got the black eg2.5 looks sick with the rasta strap

@jp52430 "Yes it will no problem...like most brands they are interchangable" ...Are you sure? Since posting my original question, I found out the EG2 uses a 43mm wide strap, whereas the EG2.5 uses a 40mm...
