Hey Thomas Edwards, Thanks for the question. Comparing the Skullcandy Hesh Headphones - 2011 to the Hesh 2s is easy to do as the Hesh 2s have the Supreme Sound as Skullcandy had revamped their sound for 2012. The difference is pretty apparent as the bass is mellowed slightly and the surrounding other channels come through much better, especially vocals. Certainly a different sound than 2011 versions.
