Are these warm enough for Mammoth? Are they to slim to wear extra layer underneath?

I'm from Montana and I just recently went boarding in -41 degree weather. I had my Patagonia capilenes on underneath and stayed plenty warm. Also they do have a great stretch to them so there is room for layering. Another bonus, I got the Volcom Cremini jacket and they zip into the pants. So, definitely no snow down the butt! I would recommend these!

Hey PJ, These aren't insulated unfortunately. A few insulated options with similar styling would be The Volcom Velada Insulated pant and the Volcom Wild Insulated pant.
