Does the size of this board make it harder...

Does the size of this board make it harder to handle? I've been riding longboards for a while, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert, and they've all been 36+ inches.

Hey Carsen,
Not necessarily "harder" to handle but it does change the type of ride drastically. It depends what you want to do with it and your style. With you always riding 36+ you probably wouldn't like a board this short. It will make tighter turns but won't be as stable at high speeds.

Yeah, it was just different to control, like losing your balance while kicking etc. But with it being small it's a lot more fun to take on flat ground when cruising to class and stuff. I haven't hit any major hills or anything, and don't really plan to, so I don't know what speed will do.

The small size is great for portability, but will ride very differently from your 36"+ longboards. Much like a snowboard set up, you choose different boards for different styles of riding. I use my Whizz to get from the train to work, mellow hill bombing around my neighborhood, and if I need to pop over to 7-11 or something. Would not recommend as a board to bomb steep hills on, but hey, I'm a wuss like that.
